VJ is a lot of fun to watch. So glad he's a Bear.

Drew has his first win over Tang!

Way to put the team on your back and carry it in the 2nd half, VJ!

Gonna need good game from Norchad and Josh Saturday in Utah. Very very winnable game. Get that 1 and the TCU game is a wash. Missed opportunity for sure but still a wash

Gutsy win. It wasn't pretty, but I'll take it.

No doubt. And if this helps Edgecombe and Celestine become the players we need them to be down the stretch, it will be a really good win.

Edgecombe looking like the player he was billed to be in the second half. Helped that we were playing the second weakest team in the conference at home, but it was still impressive.

Who's the weakest? This KSU squad is the worse team in the league

No one is jumping off the Drew wagon. He's still learning NIL and portal. I still say we win by 10 tonight!

You almost nailed it...

For the record the entire team stayed on the court for playing of that Good Ol' Baylor Line.

Utah or Colorado. Those teams are both worse than K-State IMO.

The fact that Utah has three Big 12 wins is an indictment on the league this season. That's a terrible basketball team.

Good comeback by the Bears. A loss tonight would have been a killer. I hope VJ plays with that same intensity moving forward. And WTH is wrong with Love? His ankle sprain has lasted 2 years.

And they've gotten blown out literally every time they've played a team with a winning Big 12 record.

K-State has looked more competent against the same opponents. Neither team is good, though, obviously.

The bottom half of the league is unusually bad this season - by B12 standards.

Keys moving forward:

Keep the zone defense

VJ keep driving

Omier keep the offense around the rim unless we're up and he's wide open

I'd like to see Nunn take more shots and find his mojo again

If Celestine is open keep feeding him the ball

VJ and Celestine went 13-21. Rest of the team was 8-35.

Yep...Nunn is having the best 3 point shooting season of his career. Got to get him more looks.

Utah?

Colorado is 0-7 and unbearable to watch. Utah is a game behind us.

Carry game by Vj and to a lesser extent Celestine (not defense). Those two and the fact that K state is terrible is the only way they win that game. Glad Vj seems to be playing mad. Much better when attacking.

They've been pretty bad, I can't deny that.

I like his fire. Which is concerning to me that the staff alluded to attitude earlier in the year. Wires crossed maybe but I hope we're not actively discouraging guys from getting intense.

Stop leaving Hausen open. Did we learn nothing from the TCU loss?

Maybe try guarding the other team's best 3-point shooter.

Crazy bc K state has barely a speck of playmaking ability and they still managed to constantly leave a designated spot up shooter open.

Utah has lost to Baylor, Tech, Iowa State and Houston by an average of 27.5 points. They're awful. Their three Big 12 wins say more about this year's Big 12 than they do Utah.

I only watched 2nd half. Maybe my favorite thing about the win is that we ditched that stupid JV high school weave play…
Stefano DiMera
How long do you want to ignore this user?
I don't think they're awful..they're very offensively challenged.

They've played quite a bit of the top half of conference. They drilled OkSt which Colorado lost to. They beat TCU who we lost to.

When you're 0-7 like Colorado you're awful.. that's enough sample size to make that judgement.

I think Colorado is the worst, with Oklahoma State, Kansas State and Utah all competing for the mantle of second-worst. But Utah is a really bad basketball team. They're 1-5 in QUAD 1 games and 1-1 in QUAD 2 games.

They played an absolutely awful nonconference schedule and still lost three games before Big 12 play. And they've gotten dog-walked by every decent team they've played in conference. That we lost to TCU, who everyone acknowledged before and after our loss is a bad team, doesn't change that.

Love the resilience in the comeback, but looking at the box score shows the abysmal failure our roster building has been. We had 7 players take the floor ... 5 of them playing an average of 34 minutes. We have spent way too much on sexy and not enough on hungry, fundamentally sound players who can give 5-7 quality minutes at all positions. As it's built right now is not sustainable against quality competition and road officiating.
IowaBear
How long do you want to ignore this user?
In fairness they played on Love being healthy. As well as Roach. If we ever get healthy will have decent guard depth at least. But judging by Ashley's podcast I seriously doubt we see LL this year. He said something like they hope to have him by mid February
