Not sure. Only defensive stud I was aware of who was injured was Marshall, and he did play today.

Well put him there and end the DC experiment. That is the main thing I'm talking g about.

I can go there. I am a big fan of pairing young Coordinators with Senior Position Coaches so if you need a helping hand its there. Tough for HC to handle both a Coord and HC.

Good lord, they didn't give up. That's the only redeeming thing about the last few years. Give them credit for that.

But they wait until they're getting worked to wake up every single game. Strangest team I've seen in a long time. No energy to a few minute frenzy to end games.

Give it to Dave, saved his job for another week. K state managed the game horribly but they won so I'll leave it.

Somehow hung around and had a chance to win that ASU game too. This team could just as easily be 5-1 or 2-4 right now.

I'm a huge fan of Sawyer, but he can pick up so many first downs if he tucks it. As good as he is and has been, he limits our offense and stalls out drives by throwing incompletions when he can take the 6-7 yard gain and get down or out of bounds. I see how backbreaking those types of plays are to our defense and what those extended drives can do. He can really dictate the defense more than he does and keep opposing offenses off the field.

Seems like everyone sees this except for Sawyer… unless he is being told to not run almost no matter what.

Just a few interesting stat tidbits:

Trigg with 155 was the only Baylor receiver with more than 50 yards.

Bryson was a game time decision, still ended up our leading rusher, 9 carries for 50.

Knighten got stuffed for -6 on 5 carries.

Does anyone know what kind of injury Bryson was dealing with? Hopefully he can get fully healed over this two week break.

Could they be limiting hits?

Sawyer has been outstanding, those that called for him- Nice Call...

I believe Aranda just said that no coach was telling him not to run when there was an opening. Its Sawyer's decision

Today he had some nice pickups

Would you rather be 2-4 and have had Baylor play really well in the these last two games?

It's strange, Sawyer is a really good player but doesn't have great pocket awareness.

Well...that is getting the job done. As frustrating as Aranda football is to experience at times all that matters is wins and he's been finding a way to get them.

To me it looks like he sees it but that he'd rather throw that 50/50 high risk/high reward pass than tuck it and get a few yards. I get not wanting to get hurt, but it is weird that he was a lot more willing to run last year

Per a couple of Aranda radio interviews, Spav is on the sideline yelling at him to run.

Fortunately we got the bad Avery Johnson for a couple of plays as Dave used up on of his nine lives.

Johnson played a really good game around his one game-breaking mistake.

We made it pretty easy on him, but he played well until the pick-six.

And the Defense had nothing to do with that? They are just the benefactor? I don't agree that Johnson was bad.

Looks like Johnson had a good day. BU stepped up and got a pick 6, but Johnson was on today.

I think he has not recovered from an injury and has decided to focus more on passing.

When he does run, he looks sluggish. Not at all how he used to be

I guess we cherry pick the numbers then. Somewhere they forget we lost to Utah, Colorado, BYU and ISU to start conference play.

I don't see a clear win in our next 6 games. .500 record this year is unacceptable. Anyone who agrees that it is needs the head examined.

TCU, Cincy, UCF, Utah, Arizona, and Houston. We could get to 10-2 or drop to 4-8, most likely split them somewhere and end up 7-5.

After the way we've played this year, I honestly have no idea. Our Defense is not very good but they have stood up when it counts. Not too worried about our offense as long as B Wash is okay. Sawyer is a friggin' beast

If we can't go 3-3 against the second half of this schedule, Aranda should be fired.

7-5 is the bare minimum for this season, and that comes with a requirement that he fires himself as DC in the offseason.

You know, it's near impossible to feel good after this win. This was plain blind, stupid luck that we won today. Kansas State coached horribly at just the right time to put us in position for a go ahead field goal. God smiles upon Dave Aranda. The RBs make stupid decisions.

Our defense is a joke and so is Dave Aranda.
