Agreed. It's never hard to feel good after a win.

That's quite literally the point.

You know, it's near impossible to feel good after this win. This was plain blind, stupid luck that we won today. Kansas State coached horribly at just the right time to put us in position for a go ahead field goal. God smiles upon Dave Aranda. The RBs make stupid decisions.

Our defense is a joke and so is Dave Aranda.

Winning must've been really hard for you today. I'm sorry. I and many other fans and alum are pretty happy after the win.

One bright spot today is I thought our tackling was much improved. Avery slipped away a few times...but that's what he does.

But when it came to their RBs and WRs usually our first man there was wrapping them up.

TCU, Cincy, UCF, Utah, Arizona, and Houston

59.1% to lose to Cincy
62.5% to beat UCF
53.9% to lose to Utah
50.1% to lose to Arizona, basically a tie
64% to beat the Cougars

Baylor has won 8 of 9 conference games tied for 2nd best 9 game stretch in program history

Well...that is getting the job done. As frustrating as Aranda football is to experience at times all that matters is wins and he's been finding a way to get them.

I guess we cherry pick the numbers then. Somewhere they forget we lost to Utah, Colorado, BYU and ISU to start conference play.

I don't see a clear win in our next 6 games. .500 record this year is unacceptable. Anyone who agrees that it is needs the head examined.

TCU, Cincy, UCF, Utah, Arizona, and Houston. We could get to 10-2 or drop to 4-8, most likely split them somewhere and end up 7-5.

We should be able to beat UCF and Arizona, but the other 4 games don't appear to be favorable match ups for us.

What has Houston done that impresses you so much? They needed a miracle to beat a god awful Oregon State team last week.

Yep, they are the second most winnable game left. But they are well coached methodical team which is David's kryptonite.

This team obviously has flaws, but you'd never know we were 9-3 in our last 12 against P4 teams and 9-1 in those games that aren't against the SEC based on the doom and gloom of the fans.

Noooo evidence for that, babeeyyy, just maaade it up.

A win is great but let's not make a 9-3 over P4 teams the goal. Look at who those 9 were and most are in the same boat as us. Very average.

9-3 over our peers is obviously good enough, the problem is that we probably aren't going 9-3 in the next 12 based upon the flaws of the current team.

It's just amazing seeing our fans acting like we're too good to accept 9-3 (9-1 vs B12/ACC) especially since we don't spend above and beyond them.

Even more amazing that our biggest complainers are the ones who won't pay for the premium site, won't pay for ESPN plus, won't pay for a ticket to attend the game ... but will complain that we don't spend what we need to for better players, better coaches, or to buyout a contract.

We Baylor fans were spoiled by Briles. We got used to lots of wins, often in a stunning fashion. The problem is that our BoR fired Briles and we have not had a span anything like that since. 2019 & 2021 were great years but outliers under different coaches.

We fans want to get back to the habit of winning: 8-10 every year, bowl game every year, winning bowl games more often than not, outstanding athletes getting national accolades & drafted, being ranked most of the time, etc. Most of all, we want exciting games that are fun to watch.

It's pathetic that we are in a conference that lacks Texas and OU - who Briles routinely beat - and we are not at the top of the conference. And have zero hope this year of being so ! Year 6 of this pathetic, excuse-filled mediocrity - where we can't even sell out games against Auburn and ASU - after routinely selling out nonconference games before.

I feel there's more to it than a coach that last coached here when the current Baylor Line were 8 years old.

By all accounts we should be at least somewhat excited about BU football. 8-1 in our last 9 conference games and BU won every single game against our rivals (Tech, TCU, UH, and SMU) on the schedule within the last calendar year.

Yet here we are with really bad attendance and attitude as a fanbase in general. This place feels more morose than we did the Morriss years and it's starting to get a bit Steele-y.

Are we bad enough fans where we need a head coach that rides a motorcycle onto the field to get excited? Did we rely on the energy that playing big names like OU, A&M, UT, and NU brought to the conference in order to feel like we were big time football boys? Is it just the negative feeling that our culture has at large right now?

I know personally I'm part of that bad fan mindset. I've moved beyond where attending BU football games was a must every single week and turned into a "well if there isn't anything else going on" type mindset. Personally that has nothing to so with the style of football as I can't think anything more entertaining than close games with the leading passer in CFB, but rather just a feeling of enjoying other aspects of life more than CFB on Saturdays.
Noooo evidence for that, babeeyyy, just maaade it up.

To everything there is a season…

The CAB "season" was a much needed spring after a long cold winter. It helped pull many long gone fans (me included) back into the orbit of Baylor football. After almost 20 years of enduring the worst football in the modern era, to all of a sudden not only be relevant but be dominant; to be able to bloody the noses of all of our bullies; to be able to wear the logo without ridicule, not only felt good, but it felt like cosmic justice.

Where we find ourselves now is a season uncertainty. It's uncertain which team is going to show up each week, it's uncertain what our teams identity is, it's uncertain what the future of our league or the sport in general holds for us. Uncertainty is uncomfortable for humans. It's particularly uncomfortable when compared the the Briles years. But like most things, this too shall pass.

It's a malaise. The fanbase doesn't trust the leadership or the coach. The coach has zero energy and the team is listless for huge portions of the game.. every game.. for years. The admin is really poor with details and presentation too. Perfect storm.

Compound this with,no disrespect, but nobody gets up for UH or Ucf and here it is.

The first part (no energy, weak coaching) has a much greater impact as we've all seen huge crowds for K state or a Ok st many times before. They will come.

The trust is completely gone. Will take a full season of high energy, effort, and execution to get it back. Right now even when they win they look terrible doing so and play low quality football.
