CINCINNATI, Ohio – Dave Aranda and the Baylor Bears (4-3, 2-2) are hitting the road for an away matchup against the No. 21 Cincinnati Bearcats (6-1, 4-0). Kickoff is slated for 3 p.m. CT on Saturday, Oct. 25, at Nippert Stadium. The game will be televised on ESPN2.

What's the deal with Sawyer? He was very accurate short, med and long range at the beginning of the season against similar defenses. This seems like a completely different guy.

Sawyer is absolutely part of the problem. That's as bad as it gets. The only way you don't score there is if you over throw and that wasn't close. No excuse for that what so ever

It's 24-12.

If it was 24-14:
a)two TDs win it
b)a TD and a FG force OT

Fortunately, two TDs still win it, but now:
1. 27-12 (they kick a FG) means we have to go for two again to force OT
2. 31-14 (they score a TD) means two tds, even with 2 2-pt conversions, doesn't win the game.

Quit looking at a chart and think your decisions through.

Going for two at the end of the first half is like thinking the long bomb will win you games. When it's early, kick the extra point. When the early prognosticators said we need to make fewer mistakes, I now realize they were talking about Aranda's mistakes as much as they were talking about our players.
