Perfect example of a game where having a dominating big would do wonders

It is like the team has zero counters for handling ball-pressure overplay.

Where are the backstory cuts? Where are the high/low screens?

This time the lay-up by Mitchell is good. 31-28 Baylor lead with 2:48 to play in the 1st Half.

Hope we make adjustments at the half and that the 3 ball will drop.

Solomon Young has 11 points for the Cyclones in the 1st half.

This is becoming a bit concerning.

M. Teague misses 2 free throws, but a lane violation gives him another attempt. He makes it. 36-32 Baylor lead in the final minute.

Bears will win, but yeah this is a little bothersome against a not very good team.

Hopefully the switch will get flipped in the second half, but right now I'm hoping this isn't one of those games where you allow a big time underdog to hang around and gain confidence, waking up at the end with a very damaging "L".

Team Shooting: Iowa State 57.1%, Baylor 53.8%. Team Rebounds: Baylor 15, Iowa State 14. ZERO 3-point baskets in the 1st Half by Baylor. My focus shifts to the 1st Half of the Baylor-TCU WBB

That first half should be a wake up call like the Arkansas loss was for the Lady Bears.

Defensive effort has been there, but we've been incredibly lazy on the offensive end. Butler has had at least 3 sloppy turnovers that wouldn't have happened with 10% more effort/concentration. Several lob attempts with no chance of success to Jon and Vital that resulted in TOs. Not too concerned about the poor 3pt shooting. That will happen every once in a while.

Certainly seems like they've just been going through the motions so far and I fully expect the team to come out more dialed in in the 2nd half.
