#2 Baylor resumes Big12 play with a trip to Ames, Iowa to take on Iowa State (2-4; 0-2) Saturday January 2nd at noon CST.  The game will be televised on ESPN+.

StatMan is back for the final 7:15 to play in the 2nd Half. I like the 8-point lead for the Baylor Bears, but plenty of work to do for a Big XII road win.

Big XII road wins are usually tough to win, even for ranked conference teams.

I got laughed at when I said we would struggle when the 3 wasn't falling. We need a legit big who you can go to for buckets at any point. A Drew Timme type guy. This is what happens when you're cold from 3 and don't have that type of big on your roster

Given our guard depth you would expect someone to be on each game. But yeah, it happens. Fortunately, we have enough depth that late games should favor the bears when fouls come into play. Our bench has plenty of D1 caliber starters.

I guess if you're a glass is half full type, you could say we played like crap and still picked up a double digit conference road win. IMO we were lucky the opponent was ISU, because likely anyone else in the rest of the B12, save KSU, would've beaten us today.

We took 18 more shots from the charity stripe than OSU. No way we get that advantage with a normal ISU crowd. A win is a win. And we likely will learn a lot from this one.

Would have liked to see some minutes from Cryer.

The difference between this year's "bad" game and last year's "bad" games is we were down and had to come back. In this game, our shots weren't falling and we kept the lead throughout. We don't have any Alcorns anymore, so they'll be used to a higher caliber of opponent from here on out.

Yep. This was the "adjustment" you have to go through when you switch from the Alcorns, UAPB's, etc.....to a conference rival. I suspect we will display more sharpness in the next game as we adjust back to conference level games.
