Baylor in command over Hartford going into the final 4 minutes. Macio Teague will finish as Baylor's leafing scorer. Baylor will soon be 23-2 overall, and be awaiting the North Carolina-Wisconsin winner in the 2nd Round on Sunday. BAYLOR BEARS BASKETBALL: STATMAN LOVES IT!

Glad our fate is different than Ohio State. Want every one of those B1G teams shut out of the final four, so we don't have to listen to any more BS about them being the best conference in MBB. They are clearly not, but media has been trying to sell that fairy tale most of the year.

Vital fouling out makes me hopeful he will be careful with his fouls for the rest of the tournament. Sometimes when he really turns it on, he also fouls a lot. Gotta get used to the way the game is being called early on, if you're a big man.

If we end up with UNC, Vital will have 2 fouls in the first 5 minutes against their bigs.

I thought Vital had multiple bad calls against him. Fortunately it happened in a game where it didn't matter

I thought Vital had multiple bad calls against him. Fortunately it happened in a game where it didn't matter

They called a tight game both ways. Officiating just varies, and Vital never adjusted imo. I mean I love the guy, I like to see it a little looser, so he can be physical. Not always going to be that way though.

Was great - save some energy for our starters. We will need it Sunday - either of them will give us all we want. We need to have 2 halves like our second half today on Sunday (a complete game), or we could very easily get beat Sunday.

Yeah, almost all guards get away with that. I guess he took a step, then planted both feet? Maybe wasn't quite in the motion of shooting? Took it with a smile though. Love to see guys playing.

Sort of an ugly game, but just win baby. Love the team spirit we continue to show.

I agree, but there are always some jitters in the tourney, I don't care who you are.

Recall in 2010 when we made the Elite 8 (and should have gone further), we were given all we wanted in the first round by SHSU. Hopefully we got all the jitters out today and can play free and loose the rest of the way. Survive and advance, baby!

Lucas Oil? I did not know that. Not great for our team as the depth perception really can affect shooters. I was actually looking forward to more limited attendance as I thought we would be playing in arenas all the way through.

Either way, Flagler started stroking again and they played hard. Need continue to get better. And JB was solid but needs to really be aware of his position on the court. Has been striped when catching the outlet pass a whole lot this year and again in this game. Preventable turnovers we need to clean up. Seems to happen 2 to 3 times every game.
