How long do you keep Chaz Green on the roster? He was supposed the RT and now the starter at LG but he cant stay healthy. Its hip joint now, a couple of weeks ago, shoulder AC joint. Miissed the end of last season with back surgery and the season before with hip injury. All the talent in the world doesnt matter if you're not on the field
Shouldn't be on the club when you live in the tub....

So as if this season couldn't get any more ****ty, the 5th circuit court of appeals throws out She's injunction and so now he has to go to N.Y. where the NFL has all the home cooking.

Hello Jaylon Smith and Jeff Heath!

https://www.bloggingtheboys.com/2017/10/11/16457252/what-to-do-about-the-cowboys-defense-jeff-heath-jaylon-smith-jourdan-lewis-xavier-woods

I'm baaaack!

Heath may be relegated back to what he does best, Special Teams.

I would love to see the rookie X get in that mix although they may want to pair Awuzzie with Jones at S.

Not sure that Anthony Brown is as much as starter, as part of the nickel package and Special Teams.

Jaylon Smith was never supposed to be playing as much. 12-15 plays a game was going to be the max this season to work his leg back into shape. He stepped up when everyone else was hurt. Great going downhill, not so good going sideways and lousy going backwards. Next year was going to be his year starting.

For the third year in a row, we got a steal. Jourdan Lewis should have been a 1st rounder.

Rumor this AM is that the NT Stephen Paea may retire. Injuries are just too much. If he does, pre-season wonder Lewis Neal has been tearing things up off the PS. Expect him to come up. Dude was a beast in August. See how he does in Oct.

LB Justin March-Lillard has been signed with the open spot. Interesting that it wasnt a CB.

So glad to see you back Assassin! Thank you for all the good information updates. Hope you continue to keep feeling better.

Elliott still has options. He can file for a TRO in the New York court on the same grounds as he did in Texas. If granted, he plays. It's fortunate that this is a bye week as it gives him time to have the TRO heard in NY.

The appeal was not about the merits of the case. The issue on appeal was whether Elliott filed for his TRO prematurely thus depriving the Texas court of jurisdiction. The Fifth Circuit said he did. So now the merits of Elliott's case has to go to a court that has jurisdiction which in this case is in New York where the NFL filed suit.

Hope BtB does a similar look at the offense with WR and TE as well as OL being of particular interest.

I asked this question when we drafted green. you ridiculed me for it. He has been a walking injury since we took him in the 3rd round. funny that you are now coming around.

Good story about Saints long snapper traded to the Saints in August. Eagles failed to catch a killer aneurism in the 11 years with them. Saints caught it quickly. Saved his life

Ezekiel Elliott's Texas lawsuit "not over" yet
Posted by Mike Florio on October 13, 2017, 8:14 AM EDT

The victory secured by the NFL in the Ezekiel Elliottcase on Thursday feels final, even if it isn't.

It's not final for multiple reasons. First, the NFL's lawsuit aimed at defending the six-game suspension remains pending in New York. There, a judge could still delay the suspension via a preliminary injunction while the litigation proceeds.

Second, the lawsuit filed by Elliott in Texas is, we're told, "not over."

As one source with knowledge of the situation explains it to PFT, Elliott could pursue various strategies before the federal court in Texas or the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit, which issued Thursday's decision dismissing the case because it was not filed on a timely basis. For example, Elliott could file a petition for a rehearing, either by the three-judge panel that issued Thursday's ruling or the full collection of Fifth Circuit judges.

By rule, Elliott and the NFLPA have 14 days to file a petition for a rehearing. Which means that, during this window, the NFL probably should reconsider its position that the Elliott suspension is immediately effective. Doing so could risk incurring the ire of the Fifth Circuit through yet another skirmish that could emerge as soon as today.

The NFL announced today that because of lost revenue due to kneeling, an NFL Team had to be cut. Tampa Bay and the Green Bay Packers will be combining forming the Tampacks. They will be good for only one period and will have no second string...

Not good. As long as we're only two back and we play them twice, we're okay. Its not like they're beating the crap outta folk.

And of course Wentz is really homely.

49ers release NaVorro Bowman
Posted by Josh Alper on October 13, 2017, 4:24 PM EDT

The 49ers announced on Friday that Bowman has been released. General Manager John Lynch said in a statement that he and coach Kyle Shanahan met with Bowman on Thursday night and determined that parting ways was in the best interest of all involved.

Bowman was a third-round pick of the 2010 draft and made several All-Pro and Pro Bowl teams during his time with the team. That time was interuppted by a pair of major injuries a knee injury that wiped out the entire 2014 season and an Achilles tear four games into last season but Bowman was a tackling and playmaking machine when healthy. He's taken a step back from that elite level, but remains a useful player.

He'll be a free agent upon the league processing the move. While his $6.75 million salary may have made a trade difficult, it seems likely that he'll land somewhere else to continue his career before too much time passes.

They drafted Ruben Foster - plus Bowman had a couple of medical issues. He'll probably go to a 3-4 team but he could be a solid rotational LB for us also

According to NFL.com and reports late Friday, the NFL Players Association plans to petition for a rehearing of Elliott's suspension case with the Fifth Circuit en banc, meaning full court rather than an appellate panel.
