I didn't watch that much Arkansas football this year. Why are they in the top 5 for number of players in the transfer portal? The offense looks like it would be fun to play in. Is it because the DC left?

Not sure how good Arky really is. KU looks totally unaccustomed to playing in a bowl, much like BU did in 2010 Texas Bowl after a 16 year layoff. Illinois wasn't that good, or at least not 38-14 good.

Only homers believed that. Conference is filled with mediocre teams this year. Two best teams are likely to get pummeled this weekend

Some of the matchups contributed to this. Kansas should be playing Missouri, Oklahoma should be playing Ole Miss or Air Force, etc.

Good point. Our new commissioner needs to help improve our brand by picking the best matchups instead of the allowing bowls to take our biggest brands to sell seats. Winning > losing with a sold out crowd!!

KU had the same problem we had. The schedule was back-end loaded. Once the losing started, it was hard to stop because of the upcoming opposition. KU was lucky to get their sixth win, and we beat a team we normally don't beat (OU) to get to six.

It will be interesting to see what happens with the Big 12 bowls the next time some contracts are up for review.

Also, Oklahoma State was down 5 starters due to the transfer portal for Wisconsin - including their starting QB (?), starting RB (Baylor), and best defensive player (USC). That's painful.
