Looks like he only needs Michigan St (green), Tennessee (orange) and Coastal Carolina (teal) to complete the rainbow. Maybe throw in Aggy maroon for extra credit.

I'm not sure why you didn't use Baylor as an example of green. Lol. However you have forgotten his hey day of his career (Oregon). So he has green and yellow checked.

That staff went from being easy to root for to easy to root against.

But it's really just the horrible state of football today.

And like that UNT, Tulane, and James Madison are gutted of players and coaches.

Some G5 team will rise to prominence in 2026 only for the same thing to happen to them.

G5 teams will be one season wonders from now on.

I get your point but I think they will have to do well for a few years in a row for the coach to be looked at. For example, James Madison has been good for a while in FCS and their move up to FBS, which was under Cignetti, and then continued being good for 2 years under the coach that just left.

I think a lot of schools have seen that you can't hire away the one year wonder coach because he didn't do well after that. You need a guy who has multiple good years as a HC.

A lot of us who wre advocating for Morris to come to Waco and replace Dave are going to get a real time illustration on how that would have worked out by watching Oklahoma State in 2026.

I suspect 2027 will be the real deal for the Pokes, with '26 being an ominous foreshadowing.

Looking at the Oklahoma State schedule, I could easily see a 7-2, or 8-1 team hosting an undefeated Texas Tech team in Stillwater on November 14th.

As I watched the Morris I was thinking he would have had me a little nervous. It seems he basically took what would be next season's UNT's team and will be playing them out of Stillwater with OSU unis on in a XII schedule. I'm not sure how that is going to work out. They had a high ranking class but basically they took in about 50 transfers so that number of portal signees alone boosts their ranking. We shall all see though .

He brought 17 players with him from OSU, that's fewer than Campbell to PSU (23), but more than Cignetti took to IU from JMU (13), and he brought about as many defenders as offensive players...so I do think Morris is setting up well for success next year and beyond. I think his DC Skyler Cassidy has a pretty bright future based on his career to date.

I'm taking Sumrall off the "Could Maybe Replicate The Cignetti Model" list after he only brought his Punter and Kicker from Tulane with him. That's a yikes from me dawg.

That's the Baylor way - - - - we get to see it next year at McLane when Tech make their November visit...

Pure vibes and HS-Legend resume (AL & GA roots), this guy was made in a laboratory to cause heart palpitations amongst Baylor fans who need a change - seemingly an amalgam of Cignetti & Briles...

I didn't realize or had forgotten he was at TCU. There were more former Briles Baylor era folks than I thought. How long had he been there?

Remember when there was smoke that if Aranda was fired we would go after Lincoln Riley?

If that comes to fruition after next season (I doubt it happens) it would be really funny if he brings GP to be the DC

lol would probably take a tiny bit of the sting off of getting firing at USC to immediately replace the guy who made him come back out on the field with 00:01 on the clock to kick a field goal.

It all comes full circle! (It would become a double circle if he goes on to propel our prophesied dynasty.)
