Rogers is a really good coach, and a good get by Iowa State.

He may actually represent an upgrade compared to Campbell.

This is what a qualified AD gets your institution.

It is going to be a good time to be an Iowa State fan.

iowa state got jimmy rogers - a couple years removed from being an assistant at brookings, sd
penn state got matt campbell - hate seeing excellent coaches/good people leave the b12
oklahoma state got someone from denton - never heard of the guy

Interesting aspect on this is that no one knows yet whether it's wordsmithing or what, but nowhere in Utah's releases has it said he is RETIRING. Just that he is stepping down. So it kinda makes me think some of your thoughts may be correct.

Sounds like he may have wanted his performance review to be based on Ws and Ls, not last quarter's earnings per share.

Whittingham was second only to Ferentz on tenure among coaches. He took over when Urban Meyer left for Florida in 2002.

The state might be on a decline but it will take a long time for that to impact the money available for the athletic department, coming in to NIL, ticket sales, etc.
