Can we get anybody that can make free throws? Tongue in cheek somewhat, but I watched the Maryland - Alabama game yesterday and at the end of the game, all but one of the Maryland players on the floor shot at least 80 percent and the other was at 75%. A couple of their main players were over 85%.
Consistency at the line and consistency from 3 would be ideal. If we could find someone at 35% from 3, but does it from a range of 30%-40% in a game versus our history of 15% and 55%. The low percentages seemed to come in the most important games and usually it wasn't because they were that closely guarded.
Just tired of watching close games not won because our FT percentage was last in the conference and threes couldn't even hit the ocean. And please if a guard's FT percentage is 53%....just pass.

Appreciate the updates - lots of activity right now trying to set up visits and put together a roster. As someone mentioned in the list thread or another, there is a lot of talent in WBB today - possibilities to pair with Bella/Buggs and hopefully a healthy Jana will attract some players also - lots of minutes to spread around at the guard position - exciting possibilities

A lot of people said the same thing about Aijha and her style of play as well. I think she just didn't play for a team that was in the media as much.
Go watch how Cotie handles herself in the post game handshake line vs Tenn. does that seem like a player you want? And that's only 1 example.

no i'm not saying that we'll not entirely . i've seen the video and no that was a lot and will hurt her during this cycle.
But i will say this CNC is the biggest supporter of Chennedy Carter who cannot find a team in the W because of her "energy". But under coach nicki that was not a problem. Aijha could he used as an example from what people were saying about her. I say all that to say i trust that CNC knows how to run a locker room. She builds genuine relationships with anyone that believes in her enough to play in a Baylor uniform. All of the issues aside Cotie is a great talent that has not even scratched the surface of what she can fully accomplish. Whoever decides to take that chance with her could land a star in the WBB game. If our staff decided to do that i wouldn't be upset because we get a good player that would fit our system m. She is a big guard that can get down hill. She can play tremendous aggressive defense, she has one of the best motors in all of college basketball currently.

It will take large amount of NIL to get her. All of the big money schools, LSU, SC, Texas, OU, UCLA, USC, etc will be fighting for her.
I also hope we are giving large NIL to Buggs and Bella to keep them at Baylor. That should be #1 priority.
I don't know that SC or LSU are suitable fits with the guards they have in place already. . I could see both passing. Tx and USC would be wise to throw a bag at her. But you're correct her bag will be huge.

Don't think Latson will be good fit at LSU or SC. They already have multiple top scoring guards, top players in the country. Their top priority will be best Post player/best rebounder available. Latson will want to start Day 1. She will be one and done with new team. She will be looking for big NIL, but also good chance get to Final 4 or natty. Only handful teams will give her that chance in her final year. She also said she loves playing in front of big, loud crowds.

This is my thought. This girl isn't even an upgrade over what Andrews and Walker brought.
BU has to upgrade the guard position zero doubt about it. But there's going to be cheaper/better options. Williams at least looking at her stats looks incredibly inefficient
