LOL, you've already disregarded and dismissed her without considering any of those due diligence principles yourself.

but it's true she is from Mali, where the development for players is a tad different from the US. But to have the numbers in the SEC that she did i would entertain her being a part of Baylor WBB we could use her, and even help expose her to. more pro style offense. She has played in tournaments like Afrobasket and represents her country. If my mind serves me right she and Madison Scott were huge differences in the game in Waco 2 seasons ago.
Where she is from, what she did in Africa, what she did against Baylor two years ago, etc. do not explain why her shooting was atrocious this year. They don't.
Why is the concept of Due Diligence so difficult?
1) find out what the problem is/was
2) find out whether the problem remains and/or is likely to remain in future
3) determine if the problem is curable
4) determine how long any cure might take
5) determine the likelihood of cure vs likelihood of problem remaining.
Every venture applies Due Diligence principles continuously.
Again, why is that concept so baffling?
What's baffling is your assumption that this due diligence hasn't been done. Unless you are part of discussions of staff, of course.

Clearly they are going to over pay for a player who isn't that valuable unless she makes shots because she isn't a good defender.

YaYa Felder, Jada Walker, Dre Edwards, Aijah Blackwell, Aaronette Vonleh, Jordan Lewis, Aaliyah Matharu, Taliah Scott are all transfers that have positively contributed. Heck, even JVG improved from her first year joining the program.

You don't think Yaya and Jada improved ?? Yaya most definitely improved and received 6th man award her senior year. Jada also improved and was key in getting us to Sweet 16 and coming close to beating USC in the Sweet 16.

Dammit I was hoping Ting would stay out of the big 12. I hope she doesn't develop a rage and hang 30 on us

I didn't think she could get NIL, unless it's from an entity in China. If that's the case, she fills a slot without spending US school's NIL $.

OKie LIte had massive clear out, they may want a rotation player to fill the bench. Tech had only two hit the portal, not sure how many lost to graduation or what incoming freshman will bring. They do have their 7'1" player available this fall. Ting showed such promise early on with her high-arching 3 from the wing, and at least one Lauren Cox-esque block of a 3-shot. There was even chatter she might be Big12 Sixth Player of the year. But as the season progressed, she didn't, instead took major steps back. I also would've preferred she went out of Big12. She may want to go where she thinks ( or they promise) she'll start, but just don't see it unless she really works on D over the summer.
