I copped a Brad Peacock Jersey. $120.

It does seem to be Divine Providence that Houston should wreck the title hopes of teams from both New York and California, and bring sweet solace to Texas.GoldMind said:
Let's continue to pray, that God almighty will bless Lunhow with clarity and excellent judgement. That we may continue this run of dominance.

It's going to be a tough call ... opening day for the Astros or Baylor basketball in the NCAA Championship game.GoldMind said:
I haven't been to opening day in 12 years. Bet that ass I'm going this year.

Actually, no. I'm still happy about the season we just saw. The Astros were so much fun to watch this year.JusHappy2BeHere said:

A little bit. Between that and catching up on Stranger Things and other shows, I've been up late for a month and a half.JusHappy2BeHere said:

sounds like us... we are 3 episodes behind on almost everything we watch because of the WS.ValpoCory said:A little bit. Between that and catching up on Stranger Things and other shows, I've been up late for a month and a half.JusHappy2BeHere said:

I remember this strange feeling when Dallas would win their SuperBowls in the 90's. Its like you wanted more but you knew you got to the top. There was no finality like there was for every other team when you actually got knocked out of the race. Very strange indeed.JusHappy2BeHere said:

I was until I watched the Baylor intrasquad game today between the Kodiacks and the Grizzlies.JusHappy2BeHere said:

Learned today that Coach Rod arranged for the BU baseball team to see one of the ALCS games in a suite at MinuteMaid. Big XII said doing so would be a no no, so he had Compliance folks get with NCAA. They said it was fine, and to enjoy the game.
the Twins won 83 the year before and were expected to take the next step up in 16. 103 loses was one of the worst failures in recent memory....they just weren't that bad a team...GoldMind said:
Taking the Twins from 103 losses to the postseason, Molitor absolutely deserves it. That's unreal.
ESPN has been touting Judge all season. Hope it didn't sway too many of the lazier voters.JusHappy2BeHere said:the Twins won 83 the year before and were expected to take the next step up in 16. 103 loses was one of the worst failures in recent memory....they just weren't that bad a team...GoldMind said:

But AJ finishing 3rd lowers my expectations for Altuve... while NY only gets 2 votes just like every other AL city, they have an entire network devoted to showing their highlights and talking about them all season... It wouldn't surprise me if some of the writers never saw Altuve play till the playoffs.
