Learned a long time ago that Sam is not going to admit his mind has been changed or his positions are in error, even once his positions have been thoroughly refuted or made to look ridiculous. This is but another example. He is going to die on this hill, regardless of how absurd or even un-American his position is.
Speaking of irony. Your lack of self awareness is amazing, especially on the subject of Covid
So, why do you constantly find the need to jump the rescue of Sam?

Are you his sock puppet or are you his secret admirer?
He likes to point out poor reasoning, and anti-Sam posts are always a great example.
You mean, like when you tried to reason that cops actually didn't let people into the capitol even though I posted a video showing exactly that? That kind of reasoning?
I told you, they did let you in.

ETA: They let them in...sorry for the typo.
So, you finally admit that cops let people in
Absolutely, in the same way a carjacking victim lets a jacker into her car, or a bank teller lets a robber into the safe. Like I said before.

You are kidding, right?
Realistically there was no way to hold off the crowd after the barricades fell. That's why police didn't stand in the way.
Why not just shoot the unarmed "insurrectionist?" Oh wait, that happened.
Because it would have been illegal and ineffective. And to anticipate your next silly question, no, that doesn't mean an insurrection or coup attempt didn't occur. It's not up to police to make that determination and start shooting into crowds. They followed their orders, as did the officer who shot Babbitt.
somebody ordered him to shoot Babbitt?
No, to protect the members of Congress. They were within sight of the mob, and he was the last line of defense.
so pelosi yelled fire and he started shooting.. got it

Ok, this is ridiculous. There was a swat officer with an AR about a foot away from Babbit and he didnt feel he need to execute her. The officer on the other side of the door was about a foot taller and 150 lbs larger than her yet he decided to give no warning and just shoot to kill. He should be tried and found guilty of excessive force. He murdered an unarmed woman and if the races of those two individuals was reversed all of DC wouldve been burned down.

His height and weight are immaterial. He says he warned her, and I've seen no evidence to the contrary. The fact that another officer didn't fire doesn't mean the shooting wasn't justified.

The one consistent thing in this administration - in addition to screwing up virtually everything it touches - is its uncanny ability to appoint the seemingly worst and least qualified people to important or visible positions.

I'm 23, young, and dumb. Emphasis on dumb, and still have more common sense than this administration. It's mind blowing watching them make mistake after mistake. They are so far removed from the average American.

We definitely still look like a banana republic and I try not to be too black pilled but I only see things getting worse from here. Hopefully we can turn some things around after Nov.

It's one less thing to worry about in terms of potential government overreach, not that it was a huge worry to begin with.

The amazing lack of self-awareness of the Left never ceases to amaze me. The differences is partisans on the Right we'll tell you they're partisan. The crazier the lefties get the more they see themselves as "moderate."

LOL. Yeah ok whatever. A government agency set up to monitor speech is a HUGE concern.

Again, boils down to how much you trust the government. You just trust it much more than others (myself included). I'm just not sure how anyone can shrug it off as "not much potential for government overreach" when the person in charge was talking about wanting the ability to add context to tweets.

Your trust in the Federal government is irrational and unwarranted.

Your mistrust is selective. I try to apply the same standard to both parties and their critics.

Compared to the average SicEm poster, I probably trust it more when Democrats are in power and less when Republicans are. But it's not my level of trust that's changing.

Obviously the potential for overreach was there. The thread wasn't about potential, though. It was about gross, shocking, outrageous violations of the Constitution (none of which anyone could identify).

It was an incredibly stupid idea from the outset.

Then you could see how giddy the farthest of the left was, salivating at the thought they could stifle free speech they disagreed with.
