he thinks the building is important.. congress could have met at the Hilton airport conference center and read and counted the votes.. our govt is people, not buildings.

Agreed. Buffalo Man trespassing in the Capitol was bad but made literally zero impact on government. Using violence to intimidate and impact the workings of a branch of government actually undermines our democracy.

No one used violence against Kavanaugh. All the guy did was trespass. When Dobbs is decided as expected, he will have made literally zero impact on government. No harm, no foul. That's the standard, right?

You're the obvious idiot. That guy just wanted a tour of Justice Kavanaugh's house, maybe pick up a souvenir laptop, smear some **** on the wall, maybe wave a Confederate flag.

Bububut they had firearms in the next state!!!! That's just like an attempted murder!

It is not an insurrection if all your doing is trespassing. The weapons or lack there of go to the object of the act. Even the peasants would bring somewhat sufficient tools when they wanted to overthrow the lord of the manor.

You draw out another good distinction between the summer 2020 riots and J6. The 2020 riots resulted in arson, damage and destruction of businesses and buildings for several city blocks, and rapes occurred inside some of the "autonomous zones." I don't recall any of the J6 protestors doing anything half that violent.

insurrection- The act of rising against civil authority or governmental restraint; specifically, the ARMED resistance of a number of persons to the power of the state; incipient or limited rebellion.

Pretty sure the word armed is in the definition.. no guns on the property, no insurrection. Just morons and knuckleheads who caused no real threat to our democracy by occupying a building

Cool story, but we're talking about the wacko who traveled across several states to kill Brett Kavanaugh in his home in the middle of the night and had a backpack that contained black tactical chest rig and tactical knife, a pistol with two magazines and ammunition, pepper spray, zip ties, a hammer, a screwdriver, a nail punch, a crowbar, a pistol light and duct tape.

And you want to go on about golf carts. Like I said weird, dude.

J6 wasn't an insurrection because it was not an insurrection. It does not meet the definition of insurrection. Moreover, it is silly on your part to try to draw a parallel between J6 and summer 2020 riots. The riots were massively worse for everyone than J6 except that some Congressmen and Congresswomen got scared.

Not even close.

attempted assassination of a SCOTUS justice is worse than the jan 6th riots. You and I both know it would fundamentally change the courts opinion on all future cases

Not even close.

Then you truly are a ****ing idiot

You're the obvious idiot. That guy just wanted a tour of Justice Kavanaugh's house, maybe pick up a souvenir laptop, smear some **** on the wall, maybe wave a Confederate flag.

How many of the J6 protestors brought a firearm to the Capitol?

Ah, the "It's not an insurrection if a specific weapon was not used". Classic.

It is not an insurrection if all your doing is trespassing. The weapons or lack there of go to the object of the act. Even the peasants would bring somewhat sufficient tools when they wanted to overthrow the lord of the manor.Trespassing. Huh.

Well, at least you've moved on from "wandering tourists".

Man, I still remember those heady days when this was horrible, even without guns, because it was all Antifa and BLM. How times change.

Such a defense: January sixth was not an insurrection because nobody got raped.

No one was armed. Name one insurrection in history where nobody had a weapon.
Your ideas are intriguing to me, and I wish to subscribe to your newsletter.

I love how deeply you go into Dunning-Kruger mode.

It's not an insurrection because guns. Or rapes. Or failure.

And you completely overlook that it didn't happen on MAGA Tour Day at the the Capitol. Those Congressmen had a very specific job to do that today.

They planned and attempted to carry out the willful disruption of a democratic transfer of power by non-democratic means. Americans are bothered by such things. Usually.

You get all heated up over mail in ballots as an attack on democracy, but fail to recognize an actual one when it gets filmed live. You people amaze me with the depth of your TDS.
