yeah, but it is a federal issue. declining population makes our current problems terminally unsustainable. We can't just shrug our way thru it.

that's why both parties are holding their nose and enduring the political pain of an open southern border.

Exactly. The looked at the options. Decided to remain who they were. Endured the pain. And they have a solid future, seamlessly connected to their past. It's an entirely reasonable, sensible, logical way to face a problem.

I use Asia in general, and Japan in particular, every time some leftie tunes up about "diversity is our greatest strength" nonsense to the point of it meaning America is actually more morally virtuous because of our "diversity."

These demographic maps are the most important reason why the climate change Nazis are escalating their rhetoric ever more shrilly = as world population subsides, energy consumption declines…..mankind's carbon footprint shrinks.

They have to get their agenda (for political control over capital) passed before it becomes irrelevant.

Sounds like AI advances are coming at the right time. Smaller workforce, exponential increases in productivity. TFR decline is incredibly difficult to reverse.

Serious question....has anyone ever reversed TFR decline?

It's racism or white privilege or something. You see, only white people and Asians are allowed to get married without having to overcome structurally racist impediments to their union. (unless they are gay). If it were up to blacks, they would have a near 100% marriage rate and zero babies born out of wedlock. You see, the white (and asian) man want to keep them down, so they force them to have sex with randos and go on Maury to find out who the father is.

That is a very interesting question the author asks.

One one hand, parts of elite society very clearly are advocating governments enact policies to reduce population.

On the other hand, earth is littered with relic architecture from civilizations which flourished, then disappeared.

So did those former civilizations all have their own Paul Erlichs?
Or is rise/fall of populations part of the natural order of life?

Put me down for the latter.
