The authoritarian meltdown over twitter is weird. It's another one of those long list of authoritarian talking points - X does not exist but then they freak out if X goes away.

It's an incredibly fast way to disseminate information. Now that information isn't always good or accurate or complete but it's useful for that purpose.
It certainly democratizes information, again, one can make a great argument that's not a good thing.
