He made his money from ipo's. My level of respect for Musk went up a notch. We need doers. Time to get the US producing again, both private and public. We have become too interested in maneuvering finances and cashing out.
He seemed to fall off the face of the Earth after his comments about the American work ethic a few weeks ago. I don't know if the Trump team put him in timeout… Or if he purposely laid low.
Trump told him the room would smell like Curry!
Oops, here comes the racism
ah... Mr. well read guy. Guess you missed the sarcasm. btw. Indian food and curry near the top of my list of yumminess. Your gal, the biggest crack pot in Trump world, Laura Loomer. Thanks for playin!

Told em, the guy has no idea what he is doing. Soon as they sat down and started working with people that actually get it, he was bounced. Didn't make the inauguration.

Yet, ttis Board know and speak with such authority! They don't seem to actually have ever dealt with the Govt they seem to hate so much. Or know what it actually does.

Overall, my concern level went down a notch. I like what he is doing on debt, Greenland and border. His people understand you are not cutting your way out of this debt, got to grow economy. Still tweeting but they are more measured. Maybe Trump learned, so far optimistic going into inauguration. All I know is someone has to get inflation under control, groceries - can't get out for under $200, used to be $140. Same items.

Normally, I agree with you but here I disagree.
Moral compass has nothing to do with politics.
Yes, it does because how we treat our citizens should be driven not only laws but laws that when necessary carried out humanely and in the the direction of the good.

Eisenhower's deportations were beyond cruel. The trains he used to deport immigrants were characterized as 20th century slave ships. A moral compass is in play with regard for human rights.

Where you stand on the political spectrum does not indicate a person's moral compass. Neither the left nor the right has a monopoly on moral compass.

The Union leaders just have to prove some reason for them to be making their six figure salaries. If there were not union leaders, and there would be just a board comprised of a few of the unpaid members themselves, stuff like this would not happen. (former member of two unions here)

They are giving Trump a good reason to undo a huge JFK mistake: US Govt employees should not be allowed to unionize. No one has an automatic right to someone else's money in perpetuity, especially not the taxpayers. And no employee should be protected from being fired if they cannot do their job effectively & efficiently. Without such reforms the whole system is a giant racket & con. Decades of this insanity goes a long way towards explaining our insane $36 trillion debt.

Doubt that will happen. He is in the good graces of several unions now. However if you screw one of them, you are risking losing a lot more

It might be better to make all states right-to-work.

As I said, I have no issues with Trump so far. I said before inauguration, if I was wrong I would be the first to admit it. So far, he has proved me wrong and backed it up.

Vivek is gone and his relationships are not effecting his decisions. I agree with him on EVs, Americans should have options. Buy the car you want.

By the way, I am glad I have been wrong so far. Because if I am right, we would have another 4 year **** show and we cannot handle that.

Article at link might have prematurely connected dots in ways the dots may not eventually align.

Renaming the "Digital Service" as "DOGE Service" does not mean DOGE is now a government agency. It could simply be the designation of an existing government agency to be the focal point for collection of information in support of DOGE.

Most presidential committees have been chocked full of experienced civil service leadership, for the purpose of communication within govt as well as advising private sector commission members on the whys & wherefores of what's being done.....the "institutional memory" for people who have never been a part of the institutions. Democrat iterations have been almost entirely civil service. In that context, the XO in question could simply be a different way of solving the inherent perspective problems of bringing in outsiders to solve problems.

I would advise watch & wait for further developments.

There is a good side and a bad side. Govt Agency gives them authority to accomplish their mission as set out by the President. Bad side, there are rules for public agencies on transparency, make up of Boards, and what the Executive Branch can actually control in regard to spending. Congress is not just going to rubberstamp this stuff. I think sometimes people forget that Congress and Judiciary are equal Branches of Govt, not subordinate to the Executive.

I would bet Mush would prefer the outside advisory committee that provides recommendations and let others do the actual work of implementing.
