any culture that adopts the western diet will eventually end up looking like people who live in America.
Consume less than 1600 calories a day while avoiding sodas , bread and alcohol and one shouldn't become obese.
Add even 30 minutes of cardio 4 to 5 days a week and the weight will just melt off.
like you say- eat whole foods, no ultra processed foods. Two or three squares a day with no snacks. Drink no calories.
Move, not cardio but basic motion activity also known as NEAT does wonders for the metabolism. Get your basic steps in, then add 1000 steps per day every week until you have doubled what you used to do..
Cardio is for VOC max and endurance training/sports.
Average Men should be 10-18% body fat and women should be 20-26%
