We were average Baylor. .565 ball unless you allow me to forget about 1977 and 1978. That means we were a .750 program. Wait, allow me to only count 1 year. 1980. I was a part of .833. Briles will coach again. Somebody is going to hire him within the next year. Mark it down.
When it happens all of these little yapping chihuahuas will go orgasmic and start firing off posts left and right. Who cares? Buy a t-shirt and haul @$$. He ______ in our nest and bailed on us.
Thee. That One too many shots to the head in the glory years is showing again.
Think what you want about Briles, love him or hate him, but be factually correct. He didn't "bail on us". He was terminated. He'd still be here if given the choice and had he be given the same option to "fix his own problems and implementing reform"...just like the BoR. Therein embodies the divide. Therein embodies the hypocrisy.
He was trying to leave us for UT. Fact. He failed.
He knew the Baylor rules and he could not abide by
Fact. Your statement was innacurate. He didn't leave. He was terminated
Fact. He'd still be here if given the same luxury as the BoR. No way of knowing for how long.
Fact. Your changing your statement now. But Yes. All successful P5 coaches look at other schools. We've debated this before. College coaching isn't about "loyalty". Schools aren't loyal to coaches. They fire them when they don't win. Coaches aren't loyal to schools..they leave when they win. It's a job. It's about the $$. Holding Briles to another standard in this regard is just bitter pills. Think we will be loyal to Rhule if he has 3 more 1 win seasons? Think Rhule will stay forever if he starts winning? If not...do you hate him already?
Wrong. BORs are appointed. Arthur was hired. And fired. BOR can't be fired.
Wrong. I've been rock solid and right for all along. Flirting and positioning to leave for UT, of all schools, was where he really went too far. UT? I'd rather he gone to Aggie Land with Phil Bennett. Never mind...........the Ags would NEVER hire Bennett back.
You forget just how far Baylor went outside our Baylor Bubble to give him what he wanted. No other coach in the history of BU football got so much and bent the Baylor rules so far.
Baylor standards are way above other B12 schools and I have always been proud of that FACT.
You really are a TSTI grad aren't you? Paul Quinn?
Easy there on the TSTI references. I know several grads from there who are plumbers or electricians that own their own businesses and make 4 or 5 times what some Baylor grads make. There's nothing wrong with the trades.
