By the way, I edited my post to remove the link and all my ensuing posts that quoted my original post. I have no interest in breaking the rules of this site and I'm sorry if I did. You may want to edit it out of your comment since it is in the quoted content. I was just saying that the only way I knew who you were was because a staff member used your screen name on an article with your real name. I am not saying it's wrong or bad or whatever. I'm saying I knew who you were because of that, so it's possible someone else did too. And I wouldn't consider it doxing if that was the case. Again, I'm sorry if I accidentally broke a rule. I just didn't think linking to a post that is on this site is against the rules. If so, we have a ton of rule breakers.

To be honest I feel like the copy/paste and tweet thing is pretty low as well.
There was no doxxing.

Ashley Hodge had already identified who Thee was when he was interviewed months ago,

How can you doxx someone whom the owners had already publicly identified?

They deleted my post when I used his name.

I guess they need to go back and delete their own interview! LOL.

You may be 100% correct (and in this case you are). As it turns out so am I (and it happened in another thread here as recently as 2 days ago; I know. I flagged it). The two don't have to be mutually exclusive.

1) no one was doxxed on this thread
2) doxxing is never ok

See, we can both be right.

Sort of like
1) this cop caused this persons death
2) this cop did not murder this person

Can both be accurate statements.

If it is anything else prove it with serious confirmed threats to specific jurors. That's my 14 words.

Otherwise this is more huite whistling.

It's all good. I did not know about the posts done months ago. I did not even know what doxxing meant. I looked it up in the Urban Dictionary.

At the end of the day I own my posts, my deer corn tossed out, my kidding those that don't like to kid around, my thoughts on the sorry state of American politics/leadership.......everything. As I have said a couple of times here.......I've always approached sports bulletin boards like a Thursday or Friday night at the original George's on Speight. I've been in a number of fun and hard hitting conversations about sports, politics and maybe even religion there over a number of Big O's.

It's all fun for me. What is not fun back and forth banter can sometimes get people in an uproar. Lighten up boys and girls.

I have apologized to a few on here but don't hold your breath. I'm correct 95%+ of the time.

I'm uncertain you are clear on what tacit means. If you choose to ignore tacit threats or the ramped up police presence to deal with their anticipated reality, that's entirely up to you. Below is an example of a tacit threat of violence. She's not saying she's going to commit violence, but...

I think Chauvin is guilty as crap, but it's the height of naivete to think the jurors are unaware of things like this.

There is a particular tenor at the moment...

" It's hard to overstate how much different downtown Minneapolis looks now than before the trial started. Many buildings near the government center have their windows boarded up. Government buildings are especially fortified, with concrete barriers and tall fences that are topped with barbed wire. Some streets are closed down completely. Behind the fences, members of the National Guard and their armored vehicles are visible."

Not sure I understand your last sentence. If you are concerned about Baylor's reputation, why post comments you find distasteful on Twitter? I certainly don't think of this forum as being representative of views of Baylor alums.

I'm not crying about anything. You said nothing before that about Chauvin.

And I believe in personal responsibility.

And I certainly wasn't saying Floyd had any responsibility at all. We were talking about the trial, and your points are still irrelevant to the trial.

Nice try to evade responsibility on the personal attack. You didn't just say 66,000 tweets. You had to follow it up by making a snide remark about how much time she spends with her kids. That was the inappropriate part. You owe her an apology for that.
George I've not treated you well in the past. That is true. I don't respect you based on your posting You are a Baylor grad so you got that going for you.

You are a little cry baby from what I have watched and read about. That's OK. The world needs cry babies too!

This original post was up 2 days before I put up my thoughts. George Floyd effectively killed himself. It's real simple.

Obey the law!!!!!

If a cop tells me to get out of the car with hands up I'm stretched to the limit reaching for the stars.
If a cop tells me to get on my knees I'm going to bust my kneecaps.
If a cop tells me to get in the back seat of the squad car I'm going to bust out his window diving into that back seat.
If a cop asks me a question I am going to readily answer him and end the response with sir.
Since it is against the law to do meth, I don't do meth.
Since it is against the law to snort cocaine, I don't snort cocaine.
Since it is against the law to do fentanyl and it can easily kill you, I don't do fentanyl.

What is so difficult about that?

I've been around long enough to know that being a police officer is a high stress, low pay job for what they are being asked to do. I respect their choice of career and understand they may be sometimes intimidated by certain situations and are therefore susceptible to dealing with high stress situations with a little or lot more muscle. People might get roughed up a bit if they are belligerent.

I did not personally "attack" anybody. My post here on a Baylor sports bulletin board was cut and pasted without my consent on a tweet. It was then commented on by the person who stole it and also some tweeters who were no way the intended readers. If I tweeted I would tweet with a different tone.

To top it off, you George Truett, in one of your patented hissy fits, thought you might get to me by putting my real first name into a post for all to see. I've never used any poster's real name on this board or BF.com. I abided by an honor system of keeping this great bulletin board somewhat incognito which proves to encourage much more robust and exciting posts.

The difference is tweeters want to be recognized. They want to have their egos stroked. They want to feel important. Look at me!!!!

I'm not apologizing for anything. I did nothing wrong. If a mother of two wants to tweet 100,000 times have at it. I won't be reading it because I don't tweet. Tweeting? Just the word tweet sounds so........so.........so......oh never mind.
That is a very good point.

People can argue on here all they want. They can share whatever views they want.

But doxing peoples real names is beyond a low thing to do.

I personally know who several posters on here are in real life and of course know their names.

I would never in a million years use their real names on this site and dox them.

That is something that should get you banned from this site. And not only that its just a low down dirty hateful thing to do to professional people over mere political disagreements.

It takes butthurt to a new level.

I think using someone's real name should immediately get them banned from the site.

Oh... gotcha... so you mean we should hold someone accountable for their actions that hurt the feelings of other people who post anonymously in an attempt to never have to be held accountable for their own. Cool cool cool.

It's interesting what our friends on the left deem worthy of accountability, who they believe should be held accountable and what that accountability entails.

College loans? No.
Studying? No.
Sexual activity/pregnancy? No.
Maintaining an in-tact family? No.
Following laws/lawful orders? No.
Immigrating legally? No.
Getting a valid ID? No.
Feeding one's own family? No.
Arriving to work on time? No.

Triggering someone by disagreeing with them about any topic about which they claim trauma? Yes. Punishment? Seeking total social exclusion (cancellation) up to and including removing ability to work and support one's family.

Accountability means different things to our friends on the left. It means most often some form of extortion or racketeering targeting ideological opponents. It's no wonder rational people steer clear of hotbeds of left wing mobs and keep their personal details personal.

This is a good point. I only figured out that Thee is Doak because of the link that is still present in Thee's quote reply. I clicked on it just now and see the comment by Ashley. Regardless of everything else in this thread, keeping the link in your qoute reply Thee is helping to direct other users to that interview thread where you are identified by Hodge. Laughgrin edited his to not include the thread link, which as he stated appears to try & appease your wishes concerning "doxing" and not start any uneccesary "beef". I would suggest using the edit function and removing it, otherwise I will not be the last to stumble upon this thread and find that link in your reply.

I believe this is the 1st time ive ever spent more than 5 secs on the R&P sub as i try to stay away from politics and religion on the internet as there will never be a true winner and it just results in needless animosity between people. This thread had some great back & forth discourse from all sides on this subject until the twitter posting was brought up. It would be 1 thing to criticise Amy, her user name is her real name so don't accuse me of doxing lol, for tweeting that and or any of her comments around the medical benefits. But making the comment about "spending that time with her daughter's" was absolutely uncalled for. The person saying that can be assumed to know she has both a son & a daughter & the use of "" was clearly an attempt at attacking her by calling her son a girl. You wanted a reaction, you got her attention, then it went downhill on both sides.

The original user who shared that she tweeted about this tread im going to assume didnt mean to cause what followed but at the end of the day, this is a free forum and anybody can view these posts and comments wothout even being signed in. This is not on the premium side of the forum. The mods dont have a foot to stand on if they went about criticising the sharing of free board things.

This could have, and to some degree still is if you ignore about half, a great thread with discourse on a very hot topic. But due to actions on all sides, wether intentional or not, it was derailed & is not a measuring contest. I am reminded once again why I stay away from this sub forum. Anything productive gets destroyed.

Im sure these words will fall on deaf ears for some as there are at least a few here that have no desire in hearing a single word I say on any subject because dinosaur guy bad, including some who have interacted on this specific thread, but I just wanted to put it out there. As someone who has had "negative" internet interactions with some of the users on this specific thread, there is no reason to go after people the way some of you have. As I always tell people, if you dont like what someone tweets or posts on here, the block button is very easy to find. I dont follow amy on twitter, i either have her muted or maybe even blocked on there. Only reason i came to this thread is because of the mention of her tweet about it on page 1 or 2. I thought id check it out to see what the tread was about but mostly to see who the user was she referred to as i had a few ideas of who it is. And due to no surpise, I walked into a **** storm of liberal vs conservative on what could have been a good discourse without any perosnal attacks. Amy didnt start those either. But she had every right to respond after that stupid daughters comment.

Some of you wanted a response, you got it, then you claimed it was a typlical woke liberal response. No, it was a typical human response to unnecessary bull***** Im a conservative, im 29, i think i know a thing or 2 about "millennial wokeness" and nothing amy said here really fit that bill.

Amy brought it on herself by attempting to publicly shame people on Twitter (which is essentially all she does outside of her sports posts).

I get called a lib here more often than not (I'm a more traditional Republican), but I don't support posting things from this forum on Twitter for the express purpose of shaming.

I support conversation and hate threads getting derailed. Only reason I post here is to have enough self control not to post anything political on Facebook or Twitter.

who cares if someone tries to publicly shame someone? If someone on here said Hitler was right, they shouldnt be shamed for that? The internets biggest flaw is giving people a place to hide. If it is not something you would put your name on, dont say it. There is always the chance someone finds what you said and ties it back to you.

I dont agree with Amy politically & many here know myself & her dont have the best history, but it is easy to choose to ignore her if you dont like her. And 100000% agree that the cop was wrong and should be convicted of manslaughter. I dont believe he meant to kill him but if i accidently shoot somebody, I have to face the consequences. Negligence isnt an excuse.

Carry on & see yall at the parade at 6pm in Waco.

For the second time: I made the effort to block out user names when I shared my screen shot, because I was not attempting to point out any one particular poster. I am positive that there is no way for me to more clearly make my point after several previous attempts, but I'll try.

It is RIDICULOUS HYPOCRISY to cloak yourself in your Christianity when defending Baylor's decision to extend healthcare coverage to same-sex spouses while saying things like "slavery was ordained by God" and "if George Floyd had just been a perfect human, he wouldn't be dead" (how'd that work out for Jesus, by the way???). The effort to hide the poster's screen name was made because the tweet was highlighting a disturbingly prevalent way of thinking among many Baylor people.

But then, as other posters have mentioned, YOU guys decided to bring MY tweet in here and make it personal. I particularly enjoyed the weird gender identity shaming or whatever it was that you tried to pull with my long-haired son. There is a reason why the vast majority of Baylor people don't post here, and it's not because they all agree with you and are cheering from the sidelines when you post. It's because you guys jump into bully mode immediately and the agreement was made long ago to make the non-premium boards an unmoderated hellscape.

This could have, and to some degree still is if you ignore about half, a great thread with discourse on a very hot topic. who cares if someone tries to publicly shame someone?

Screen shot this all yall want. Hell most know who i actually am anyway. Amd sure keep saying just do what the police say. When they come knocking your door down to take your guns away, be sure to keep that same energy. Im really glad those boys in Boston a few 100 years ago just did what the authorities said!!!

Why do people always default to the Hitler comparison? We agree politically. Most people don't have to freedom to express views that go against the media narrative online. You can lose your job for just about anything nowadays. All it takes is one nut with a grudge to take something out of context.

Agreed.

Wow. This thread started as a fight and devolved into a church camp meeting!

I hope this happens more often!

Some of you wanted a response, you got it, then you claimed it was a typlical woke liberal response. No, it was a typical human response to unnecessary bull***** Im a conservative, im 29, i think i know a thing or 2 about "millennial wokeness" and nothing amy said here really fit that bill.

Carry on & see yall at the parade at 6pm in Waco.

All it takes is one nut with a grudge to take something out of context.
insert any potential hot topic person or action to support. My point remains. Im not in support of doxing. I fell victim to it almost in 2015 or 16 when someone from fb contacted my employer about something that i actually didnt do but i was on a thread commenting about the subject and the person had a negative relationship with me previously and tried to go after me instead of the actual culprit. It wasnt fun defending myself to HR when i was 1000% innocent.

But if you say something, right or wrong in your eyes, someone else will likely find it not right and if they want to attack you then so be it. I say a lot of crazy stuff on twitter and on here. Most is just for fun but id still stand behind it because i have to if that day came. Anytime i post anything online, i know im attached to it. Something I learned the hard way while in college. And that was 100000% my fault and i was in the wrong.

End of the day, nothing on here is secret. IP traces arent that hard to do

The way of thinking that allows people to go to extremes to justify the taking of a life and has decided that homosexuality is the one great sin (and that the best way to spread the Gospel is to continually exclude people).

Lol well I frequented 4chan from high school through college, it is tame in comparison to that. But the same attitudes and stuff still arise.

Stormfront I've never been there except to say "holy **** this is a hell hole" and wasn't there a thing last summer where someone here(not naming names since we're all upset about that) basically posted verbatim a white nationalist argument for an ethnostate??

Both 4chan and stormfront may be a different type of website entirely, but you still see the same thoughts and everything pop up quite a bit. And a lot of the times when some of the more unsavory types post "memes" if you reverse google search them they can be found on 4chan or scummy parts of reddit.

This place has a problem of being an echo chamber where if someone even says something that goes against the grain they get ridiculed by like ten different posters at once. No new thoughts are engaged with here, it's just the same old dreck that devolves into name calling after about ten posts because of tribalism and "my sideism".

Eh go see Texags if you want to see echo chamber. There are a least a dozen liberal posters that post here regularly. Several more moderate posters (including myself), several very conservative and a few alt right nut jobs. But this site is very tame compared to others. Heck UTs board is a crazy echo chamber but far left.

Interesting.

All I'm seeing are shills for Republicans and Democrats trying to demonize one another.

Idk man... Maybe you are? I have a group of friends, we're all nerds and **** and we've bonded over video games, anime and a lot of other **** over the years. Everyone use to frequent 4chan a lot but then /pol/ came around and it wasn't that good anymore, like that board along with /r9k/ just made the site sleazier and worse than it already was if that makes sense.

Anywho, we have a friend in our friend group, or we at least use to consider him a friend. But this dude fell down the /pol/ hole and never came out again. Now all he does is spout q ****, scream at celebrities on twitter, and thinks it's funny to try and spell the n word in twitter comments, among other things. He also considers 4chan and twitter a good source of news, I consider that past the point of help and as such we know longer help him with things or even try to have a real conversation with him.

Maybe you are at that point or past it, who knows, but there's a lot better websites and ways to spend your time instead of frequenting 4chan, taking in drivel from idiots.

Well, I'd hate to spend time arguing with people on the internet when I could be spending time with my "daughters."

But, yes, he was wrong. A lot of people are wrong. My point is pretty simple and also pretty logically sound. I'm very tired of people who are associated with my Alma Mater and people who profess Christ using Him to deny rights to others on the basis of their sexuality while not being horrified by extra-judicial killings.

Baylor, as a private Christian university, doesn't have to condone homosexuality or come out and say it's not a sin in order to love people and provide the same rights it provides to other "sinners." That's all.

Additionally, I try to ignore that this sub-forum even exists, because it's a pretty hateful place. It's a crying shame that (on the heels of one of our greatest athletic achievements) people who know little about Baylor might stumble upon this place and think it's reflective of who we are.
The error in your logic lies in a misunderstanding of the concept of "rights."
