Much of Haiti's economy is based on foreign aid ( believe it or not ).

No tourism to speak of....unless you count all the various organizations that arrive to do charity work.

'Processing '

Drop those thousands in Hartford, Connecticut or Conway, New Hampshire for processing and watch the liberal elite have a total change of attitude towards illegal immigration .

It would be instantaneous .

Several people have posted that what they need Joe Biden to do is to return the Haitians. Apparently, that is what is going to happen. Yet: Let's impeach him just because the Haitians showed up.

Just how do you think these thousands of Haitians ended up in Mexico to begin with ?

Believe they swam hundreds of miles ?

If not ......exactly who paid their way ?

As in paid the Mexican drug cartels to haul these people to our border.

Who benefits from the narrative? Probably not the guy deporting them back to Haiti. I do remember when a certain political party used migrant caravans as a central plank in their campaigns though...
biden will deport a few hundred while the rest of them make in the USA

Recent comments from the Biden administration validate your prediction .

The flood gates are officially open......and the majority of Americans still can't comprehend the implications of what is going to happen from here on.

Life along the border collapses as Biden fiddles

Take all of the imagery you have seen of the over 14,000 Haitian migrants camped under an international bridge in the small Texas border town of Del Rio and add the complications of disease, public excrement, unbearable heat, and heightened frustrations. It has led to violence that has injured Border Patrol officers .

Now close your eyes and imagine it is 100 times worse.

Because that's what it is, said Texas Rep. Tony Gonzales, the freshman Republican who represents 42% of the border. The overwhelmed city of Del Rio had been in a rapidly deteriorating crisis situation when illegal immigrants first began surging into the community in January, but Gonzales now says the situation here is a "Category 5" and that the environment is unlike anything he has ever seen before.

"I arrived here today to pure chaos," he said. "I've never seen it in this environment. There literally is no border left."

Gonzales said Del Rio is in dire straits. "There's no doubt there's COVID here, there's measles, tuberculosis, all kinds of diseases," he said. "You've got kids running around in nothing but diapers. A handful of port-a-potties my God, the stench is terrible. This is not good for the migrants. It is not good for the residents. It's not good for wherever our government is sending them in the interior of the country."

Despite the Department of Homeland Security insisting repeatedly the Haitians would be deported, as of Tuesday, it had only removed 1,000 of the estimated 15,000 under the bridge. Multiple news organizations including CNN reported that buses have been escorting them to a nonprofit organization in town where they purchase bus or plane tickets. They are then moved to a gas station where buses pick them up and take them to other parts of the country.

The Washington Post reported that the number is in the thousands of those released to parts unknown in the interior of the country.

Del Rio residents have seen their lives turned upside down. The international bridge has been closed a lifeline bringing tens of millions of dollars to the local economy. If you're a small-business owner and your business has somehow survived COVID-19, something like this could easily wipe you out.

Gonzales said he asked the chief of Border Patrol, Raul Ortiz, at a Homeland Security Committee hearing about its surge of agents to Del Rio. "Those agents are coming from somewhere," he said. "And my worry is other sectors are going to be weakened, thus creating a national security crisis, putting us at risk in other sectors, because everyone is focusing on Del Rio."

The USA is a terrific country. We have opportunities galore and we are an attractive country. People beyond our borders are young, healthy, hard workers, able to endure really tough times, and eager to learn and be educated. Any employer would want this worker.
People are not attracted to Syria or Somalia. How does a nation control its attractiveness. Make ourselves less attractive? Hardly.
Yet here they come who fault is that surge?

You remain totally clueless on the ramifications involved.

If the United States doesn't protect the integrity of its borders and existing immigration laws.........TENS OF MILLIONS of illegal immigrants will continue to flood into our country .

The vast majority of whom are under educated, lack even basic employable skills, and do not speak English .

The vast majority of these people are simply not employable . So who is going to pay for medical care, shelter, and food for these millions for the next few years ? You ?

It is physically IMPOSSIBLE.....it is financially IMPOSSIBLE ....to absorb the tens of millions of central and south Americans who would enter the United States if allowed to do so.

How can you consistently fail to grasp such an obvious reality ?

No strawman....reality just bounces off of your forehead.

Here is the list still again ......

We manage it by enforcing EXISTING immigration laws.
We manage it by ending all FREE social services for illegals .
We manage it by finishing the wall.
We manage it by FINING employers who hire illegals....such laws already exist .
We manage it by expanding the Border Patrol

Haiti was still born when they massacred between 4000-5000 whites after their war of independence was won.

Europeans were shocked and outraged .

The atrocities ( generally ignored by historians today ) also had a profound impact on whites throughout the South . Southerners became determined not to allow the idealism of northern abolitionists to get them killed as well.

By the way practically all the whites on the island were slaughtered ....men women and children .

Only a relatively few were spared......some white doctors, Polish deserters who fought with the Haitians.... and those white woman who agreed to 'marry' a Haitian after her husband was murdered.

Which federal public benefits are available to undocumented immigrants?
In general, undocumented immigrants, meaning people from other countries who do not have a legal right to be in the United States, are not eligible for any federal public benefits.
However, there are instances where undocumented immigrants, including those under the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program, may be eligible for some benefits that are considered necessary to protect life or guarantee safety in extreme circumstances.
Those include:
  • Emergency medical treatment under Medicaid if the individual meets the other eligibility requirements and the medical condition is not related to an organ transplant procedure.
  • Immunizations for immunizable diseases and testing for and treatment of symptoms of communicable diseases.
  • Free public education for grades K-12.
  • Federally subsidized school lunch and school breakfast programs for those eligible for free public education under state or local law.
Undocumented immigrants in some cases may also be allowed services or assistance that were laid out in a 2001 U.S. Attorney General order.
That order included child and adult protective services; programs addressing weather emergencies and homelessness; shelters, soup kitchens and meals delivered to individuals; medical, public health and mental health services; disability or substance abuse services necessary to protect life or safety; and programs to protect workers and other community members.
Which state benefits are available to undocumented immigrants?
As with the federal government, state and local governments ban unauthorized immigrants from many assistance programs as well as the ability to get government contracts, licenses, grants and loans.
However, they are eligible for other state benefits such as:
  • Treatment for emergency conditions (other than those related to an organ transplant)
  • Short-term, in-kind emergency disaster relief
  • Immunization against immunizable diseases and testing for and treatment of symptoms of communicable diseases.
Pregnant women and nursing mothers are generally eligible for benefits under the Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women-Infants-Children (WIC).
WIC provides federal grants to states for supplemental food, health care referrals and nutrition education for low-income pregnant, breastfeeding and non-breastfeeding postpartum women, and to infants and children up to age five who are found to be at nutritional risk.
If an undocumented immigrant gives birth to a child in the United States, that child could be enrolled in Medicaid to get health care, but the undocumented parents could not. Medicaid is funded by the federal government and administered by the state. The child would be allowed in the program because children born in the U.S. to undocumented parents become U.S. citizens at birth.
Twenty-five states have programs that provide health care for low-income immigrant children lawfully living in the United States. Six states California, Oregon, Washington, Illinois, New York and Massachusetts, along with the District of Columbia provide Medicaid to children regardless of immigration status.
Those states do not get federal Medicaid matching funds to help pay for that cost. The states that provide Medicaid to immigrant children with legal residency do get federal funds to help pay for the cost of the care.

Like the Jan 6th peaceful protest, democrats will react to the narrative they've created rather than facts. No whips? We will claim they beat them with reins. Witnesses say no reins were used as whips? We will claim we are still investigating but still condemn the optics and keep up the narrative.

Like the Jan 6th peaceful protest, democrats will react to the narrative they've created rather than facts. No whips? We will claim they beat them with reins. Witnesses say no reins were used as whips? We will claim we are still investigating but still condemn the optics and keep up the narrative.
Dems love to claim that they're the party of science, they sure aren't the party of facts.

It's amazing that they force this false narrative and when it's proven to be false they just double down. Then when they drone bomb the wrong people and kill children there is no accountability. So lowly border patrol get suspended for doing their job and generals make the wrong call to blast some children then ooops, nothing to see here.

Why should they be ?

Biden's election proved facts are unimportant .

Controlling the narrative is all that matters .
