I just hate that injuries become the scapegoat in situations like these. We pay our coach several million dollars a year, and he was billed as a defensive guru. Yeah, Baylor is never going to get guys like Derek Stingley Jr at cornerback. He needs to hire a better defensive mind than himself, or pony up money for a top flight defensive back coach

That's part of the problem, but we have lost multiple games under his tenure due to last second Hail Mary's just as a for instance. It goes beyond talent issues, jmho
Some of these players are so bad that even if you try to develop them or coach them, they won't be able to perform.

Defenders giving up halfway to allow deep passes is not only a lack of speed, but a lack of character.

I have not seen anyone give up. All I have seen is players who can't run, which is unfortunately a requirement to play secondary.

In the era of NIL, I'd expect players to be better prepared.

It's obvious that no one is able to anticipate any of LSU's passing plays.

Yep...losing a competitive game would've been understandable. Getting boat raced and the game potentially being over before the second half is a killer.

I know some think the opposite but if Aranda has a real flaw to complain about he is too loyal for too long to some on his staff. Grimes and a couple other offense staff members for example should have bee released a year before they were.

LSU was the 1 SEC team I didn't want to play and this is exactly why. Their strength is our biggest weakness.
Chris Hilton did next to nothing all year and is absolutely torching this pathetic defense

Our secondary is bad, but it's made even worse because Garrett Nussmeier is one of the most accurate QB's in the nation. Recipe for disaster.
