A jam-packed week in the Big 12 as every team in the conference has a matchup. There are lots of opportunities for upsets, can the top of the conference surviver another week?

Week 1 | Week 2 | Week 3 Week 4 | Week 5 | Week 6Week 7

Week 8

Kansas 17, Texas 33 (Austin)

UT rebounds after the disappointing loss to Oklahoma. Sam Ehlingher has three total touchdowns and Keaontay Ingram adds one on the ground. The defense holds the Jayhawks to three first half points and forces two turnovers. The Longhorns get some redemption from that one time Kansas beat them a few years ago.

Iowa State 48 , Texas Tech 28 (Lubbock)

The Red Raiders host the Cyclones who have dominated them over the past three matchups outscoring them 137-54. Brock Purdy and the offense get things rolling as they score three times in the first half thanks to two rushing touchdowns by Kene Nwangwu. Alan Bowman connects on two touchdown passes in the first half to TJ Vasher and Seth Collins to keep Tech in the game. The second half gets ugly as the Cyclones defense forces two turnovers and four sacks. This allows Purdy to find Tarique Milton and Deshaunte Jones on back to back drives as Iowa State pulls away.

Baylor 20, Oklahoma State 31 (Stillwater)

The top ten ranked Bears have to travel to Stillwater this week to take on a Cowboys team that is better than their record says. The game starts off with a Spencer Sanders 33-yard touchdown pass to Tylan Wallace and a Chubba Hubbard 5-yard touchdown run on back to back possessions. The Bears are able to keep their composure and battle as Charlie Brewer finds Josh Fleeks on a 15-yard touchdown pass to keep the Bears in it. The two defenses play better as the half rolls along but the Pokes maintain a 17-10 lead at the break. Oklahoma State scores two touchdowns in the 3rd quarter on a Dillon Stoner touchdown catch and an LD Brown rushing touchdown. Brewer leads the Bears on two scoring drives in the 4th but it is not enough to overcomes the big deficit. Brewer ends up with 400 total yards of offense but the red zone issues kill Baylor’s scoring in this one. Spencer Sanders continues to play extremely well as he guides the Cowboys to nearly 500 total yards of offense.

West Virginia 21, Oklahoma 38 (Norman)

The Sooners have to face a struggling West Virginia squad one week after knocking off their biggest rival. Oklahoma comes out sluggish because of it, the Mountaineers jump out to a 10-0 lead as Austin Kendall finds TJ Simmons for a 40-yard touchdown. West Virginia forces a turnover and is driving down the field but are forced to kick a field goal, Staley Evans misses it. From that point on it’s all Sooners as they rattle off 21 straight points before the half thanks to Trey Sermon and Jalen Hurts rushing touchdowns. The second half is more of the same as Hurts finds CeeDee Lamb for a touchdown to push the lead out too far for the Mountaineers to comeback.

TCU 17 , Kansas State 13 (Manhattan)

The snoozer of the week comes in this defensive showdown. Both offenses have a ton of struggles as each turn the ball over twice. Alex Delton runs in two touchdowns for the Horned Frogs in the second half. Skylar Thompson throws a touchdown to keep the Wildcats in it late. The Wildcats get the ball back with a chance to win but are stopped at midfield thanks to a Ross Blacklock sack on 4th down. The Wildcats continue to struggle under first-year head coach Chris Klieman.
