The ultimate tailgate package for Baylor’s 2019 season!

Huge matchups in Fort Worth and Ames headline a big week filled with close games all across league play.

Week 1 | Week 2 | Week 3 | Week 4 | Week 5 | Week 6 | Week 7 | Week 8

Week 9

Texas Tech 37, Kansas 34 (Lawrence)

Kansas brings it this week as they face the worst defense in the Big 12. Pooka Williams rushes for 200 yards and three touchdowns to get the offense humming for the Jayhawks. Alan Bowman continues to carry this Red Raider team as he throws for 400 yards on the road but he also throws two interceptions. This game comes down to the 4th quarter where Alan Bowman leads another late game touchdown drive as he finds Ta’Zhawn Henry on a screen for a 30-yard touchdown with a little over a minute left. The Jayhawks march down the field but miss a 47-yard field goal that would have tied it up.

Texas 27, TCU 24 (Fort Worth)

This will be all out war in Fort Worth and is the biggest toss up game of the week. Both of these teams have had good starts to the season but now it's time to show who is a contender in the conference and who is a pretender. The Horned Frogs come out ready to go as Alex Delton and Sewo Olonilua both run in touchdowns in the first half. The Frogs build up a 14-6 lead at half. In the second half though Sam Ehlingher gets rolling and the Texas defense forces two turnovers thanks to a Brandon Jones interception and a Malcolm Roach forced fumble. TCU hangs in there but a late Daniel Young touchdown gives the Longhorns the win.

Oklahoma State 20, Iowa State 37 (Ames)

This is another anticipated matchup between two of the top teams in the conference. Iowa State has been rolling through conference play in recent weeks and Oklahoma State is coming off a huge victory over an unbeaten Baylor squad. Unfortunately for the Cowboys they come out flat in this game and the Cyclones take advantage. Three turnovers by Spencer Sanders in the first half leads to 17 Iowa State points and a 24-7 halftime score. Iowa State takes the air out of the ball in the second half thanks to the running game of Kene Nwangwu and Breece Hall. The Cowboys score some but never get close as the Cyclones continue to roll.

Oklahoma 30, Kansas State 24 (Manhattan)

The upset of the week does not quite happen. The Wildcats have struggled to get wins all season but they push Oklahoma in this one. The Sooners turn the ball over four times and at times they struggle to move the ball. Kansas State is up 21-13 going into the 4th quarter but Jalen Hurts shows why he has won a National Championship as he leads three scoring drives that include touchdown passes to Grant Calcaterra and Nick Basquine. The Sooners stay perfect.
