Tanner would be a good gap QB. Have him fight Shapen for the starting job, which I really think Tanner would win and then go hard after a QB next year to reset the scouting reports and find the right one.PartyBear said:
Take Tanner. Sonny may have dibs on him. I'm surprised he didn't go with Sonny a year ago.
If you're bringing in Mordecai, it's to start, not to compete with a borderline P5 starter. He's not going anywhere to compete for a job. He's going somewhere with a starting job waiting for him.atomicblast said:Tanner would be a good gap QB. Bean already entered, so Daniels is the man there ... not that that was ever in doubt.DanaDane said:
If you see reports of Jalen Daniels entering the portal (as expected) tonight or tomorrow, just remember that JAYLON Daniels is the QB for Kansas and Jalen Daniels is the backup QB at South Carolina.
Plenty would welcome him at BU.atomicblast said:Tanner would be a good choice.DanaDane said:SMU QB Tanner Mordecai has entered the transfer portal, per @mzenitz

It appears our offensive brand attracts no one. Aranda really needs to do something about that.

The coaches showed indefatigable loyalty to Shapen even when he was clearly in a multi game slump to put it nicely. I'm guessing there is a lot of negative recruiting that is going on with the portal quarterbacks right now. Other programs can see these obvious problems as well

Here's 4 QB's still in the portal that look intriguing; anyone think they couldn't help us next year?
Brennan Armstrong, Virginia
Brady Allen, Purdue
Malik Hornsby, Arkansas
Chandler Rogers, ULM
What's the saying? "Beggars can't be choosers." Unfortunately, that seems to be pretty close to where we are.MrGolfguy said:
