I'm rough on him as a safeties coach and Aranda definitely needs to replace him and I think he will, but if he is really the guy doing special teams (and not one of the grad assists) then I have to be fair and give him so credit there. Most of our special teams have performed well.

14 points that could have been avoided.
Neither defense has offered much resistance, but they've had to work much harder for their points than we have. Hopefully that will be a good sign for the second half.

And before someone tries to disagree, they've run 21 more plays to get almost the same number of yards in this game.

Lost in this is that Sawyer has had to be near perfect (16 for 18) to keep us in the game.

If that changes, we are going to lose.

He doesn't need to be perfect to effectively lead our offense against this defense.

We faced four third downs in the first half, and all of them were manageable.

It was really close. May have missed by a few inches but no clear view to prove or disprove. That's why it was "Stands" instead of confirm. It looked a hair short.

I know that DA is going to get another year, but I have no idea what he brings to the table at this point. He took over the D to help improve it... and we give up a TD in 47 seconds and 28 points in a half.
