Wait does college not have rules about contacting coaches that are still in season?

I think LSU and Florida are interviewing current HCs actually the same one. The damn Governor of Louisiana said he had a 2 hour interview with Kiffin. That situation is off the rails.

I guess I always thought there was a rule about they couldn't be contacted until at least the regular season was over and that is why they left before bowl games but announcements were not made earlier.

Seems to me if announcements are made earlier it will start a bad trend and could really ruin some schools seasons.

I think most of the openings are probably already filled but unannounced. I doubt there are announcements unless it is an assistant somewhere filling some one of these and then Ole Miss wants a decision from Kiffin as to his plans for next season the weekend of Thanksgiving.

Imo he should stay. They will make the playoffs with good shot at being able to make a good run and with the right coaching and luck even a shot at the NC. Outside shot given how well some other top teams are playing.

If he leaves he may not get enough time at LSU to build a team. If he doesn't make the playoffs by year two he will get fired there.
