Patterson is a good coach but kinda slimey.

Thee seems like he needs meds when he's posting.

This thread, like nearly every thread on this site, went south and stayed south.

You're right TU, your Fancy Frogs are a regular Alabama-like powerhouse. We should all tremble in fear at the mere thought of their awesomeness right? What a frickin' joke. Tcu is the team that once strung together 9 seasons with a 14-82 record, that's an impressive 1.5 wins per year (.145 win %). Extend it out to find 16 straight seasons with a 43-125 record, 2.7 wins per year, .25 win%. We're talking historical powerhouse here buddy. The mighty Tcu Fancy Frogs also once went 20 years between bowl games, 40 years between bowl wins - playing in just 7 bowls those 40 years. Legendary, my friend, absolutely legendary. Oh, you don't care about the past. The same past that included the years you played. OK. More recently you say. Tcu was able to build their program in powerhouse conferences like CUSA, the WAC, the JAC, and the SAC. All mediocre conferences with mediocre teams. Not really hard to stack wins on top of wins playing those patsies all the time. By comparison the Bears, as a terrible team, got thrown into the BIG12 to face Nebraska, Oklahoma, Texas, Colorado, A&M, K-State, etc. Not exactly mediocre WAC/SAC teams. It's damn near impossible to win/ build a program when you are continually getting beatdown 48-0 at halftime. Two completely different paths taken. One easy (Tcu's). One hard (BU's).

Tcu sucks

Now & always
They are not my Toads. That 14-82 record is very familiar to Baylor fans although we were 13-54 over 6 seasons. Light years ahead of the Toads. How about that 7-44 we put up in the 60's. The Frogs are 643-542-57 all time. The Bears? 589-566-44.

The Toads have won 9 of their last 12 bowls including the Rose Bowl win to finish 13-0 and ranked #2 in the nation.

The Bears? We have won 7 of our last 12 bowls with zero major wins.

I don't care where the Frogs played. They finished 7 times in the Top 10
The Bears? 1 time in the Top 10.

Before you keep wearing out knee pads suckling on our illustrious former "coach", you might want to head to Ft. Worth and worship a real coach who understands that you need a DEFENSE and SPECIAL TEAMS to go with your offense.

TellMeYouLove, Surly you have forgotten! You said the Big 8 only had 2 teams worth a flip? My my how you forget.
1.Nebraska, back to back National Champs early in Big 12
2. Oklahoma many championships always in the elite conversations
3. Colorado. National championship and some very salty teams for the next decade or so
4. Missouri was tough as nails in those days
5. Kansas State. Bill Snyder was there and at the peak of his magic. He flirted with elite status off and on
6. Iowa State had some very tough teams
7. OSU Jimmy Johnson had them flying high. Before Miami. They were a force to be reckoned with and Les Miles did a great job there as well

One sorry team at that time Kansas, and they had some competitive years
Where did you come up with this Big 8 Slouch stuff. When the t
Big 12 came together it was the toughest conference in my opinion
That bunch of teams was a bunch of big tough slobber knockers when the new conference was formed

how often were Okla and Nebraska the top two teams in the conference? Answer: most of the time. The records don't lie. The 1980s were not banner years.

Everything else you're suggesting is anecdotal. A few of those teams had good seasons but the best Okla State team couldn't beat Baylor.

We agreed to take a mismatched representation of teams based on questionable state school politics.

We are now paying for it as they are dangling our money over our head.

My fault. I've only read about 5 of your posts.

Bow down to the Toad accomplishments. They have beaten our @$$e$ 5 of the past 8 meetings since joining the Big 12.

Average score - 47-31.

Ouch!

All hail the coaching skills of Patterson.

They kicked our butts in 2010 with Griffin at the helm. Are we mediocre competition? They were MWC at the time. Hell, WE wouldn't have won the MWC conference title that year.

In 2010 Baylor was mediocre. From 1996-2009 (previous 14 years) Baylor avg'd 3 wins per year. In 2010 the Bears managed to scrape together 7 wins with the help of RG3 & KDub, but with a terrible defense. In the minor bowl the 2010 team got they were humiliated by a decent Illinois team. Baylor was a 14 year bad team just starting to pull themselves up to mediocre in 2010.
