So, if there is reasonable suggestion that this happened while he was at OU, what are the chances that the Big 12 fines OU and withholds 25% of their funds? 0%?

This is strange is this done as a vendetta by the new President? Very stupid if so. This will back fire on the whole school like the Pepper Hamilton investigation did.

OU is having some kind of mini-civil war among their leadership....just like Baylor has had.

Not sure what the cause of it is......but one faction is pro Boren and the other is for the new President.

The new president even fired some of Borens boyfriends (oh sorry I mean assistant deans) just this past fall.

Joking aside. It sounds like the new president of OU is really screwing up the place. He sounds like he is going to make even Sloan great as a comparison. Imagine if Sloan has started an investigation into Reynolds shortly after taking over and intentionally set off a civil war at the school. I doubt he lasts long there.

Boren is an opportunist.
Whether it be a young male aide who is a homosexual and looks up to Boren to help his career, a bumbling idiot football coach like Art Briles who clearly didn't have any idea what he was doing post firing, or a school that struggling trying cool things off while the coach blew himself into a lifetime ban, Boren knew how to hit the weaknesses for his own gain.

Nonetheless, Boren took on the new man at OU. The new man isn't into group rallies and running around promoting diversity. The new man is into fixing OU's financial mess, even at the expense of precious Boren's legacy.

The Big 12 looks terrible. They were used like an ass tool.

So, to Recap (if this correct):

Mixon punches a women he doesn't know at all in the face, breaking several bones in her body - caught on video. The dialogue is along the line, he asked for BJ from her b/c its his birthday, she says no, she sucker-punches her and leaves. He would later play the race card, like that means anything.

Boren, their AD, and Stoops view the Mixon tape, whereas the public could not. They think he should stay.

Punishment? He got redshirted. Never left campus. They called it "a year long suspension". The press, being the wh@res they are, back this. Think the punishment fits the crime.

Mixon returns - they win 2 conference titles.

Video comes out - Mixon goes Pro, Stoops retires which we assume due to his health.

2 years later, Mixon is starting RB for the Bengals. Stoops returns to coaching with the XFL. Decades of Boren's dirty laundry comes to light.

Is that right?

Sounds like the new President doesnt really know he is opening the school up to alot of sexual harrassment claims being made and alot of litigation. Did he study university management under our BOR? He really is so petty that he will blow up the school because Boren contradicted him publicly regarding OU's financial situation? Because I bet that is what is going to end up happening as a result of this move, he is about to blow up the school.

Nothing to celebrate here. If any bit true, just disgusting. And the conference isn't helped by having OU's current administration on a bender to pay back the prior administration. Someone in state government in Oklahoma really needs to rein in that maniac that is currently the president of OU. Very bad for the institution.

If the prior president was doing what he was accused of doing, the taxpayers of Oklahoma deserve to know the truth. It's a state school, it's state politics, its R's vs. D's, it's tax money, it's power. There is no rein that in.
