Clearing out the excess in the closet. Gotta make room for portal entries.

I figured there would be a few transfers away from S.C. who don't foresee much playing time in the future. I wonder on the men's side if we are having players like Loveday and Turner go through the same evaluation process. It is great to be on a national championship contender, but I am sure it is hard to pull out splinters when you were a high school star. Personally, I think I'd prefer to transfer to somewhere that I can play, not just practice. I imagine that coaches of national contenders prefer to have several competitive players who want to stay, but understand they are not going to get much playing time. If you have all superstars, you are going to have an unhappy team, even when winning. I'm sure coaches struggle to find a balance.

I am sure that many of the top teams will evaluate these two South Carolina players. I notice one is a McDonald's all American. Although that isn't dispositive of performance at the college level, it is probably one of the better indicators. With the growth of the transfer portal and the NIL rules, I feel like I am living on another planet.

Most likely more about playing time for her. She was never going to be a starter for UT and may want more PT in her last year.

According to TX Wbb season stats, both Ebo and Warren averaged almost 27min per game. Only Rori and J. Taylor averaged more. I think this was about clearing space and not more time on court.

Either they did not want to be there or Vic told them politely to hit the road.

She played a lot and well in the NCAA tournament. This is surprising. I don't see Lattimore doing as well as Ebo. Vic probably has eyes on another big.

Yes. Apparently the collar helped blood flow to the brain, result of multiple concussions. Curious to see if she continues the flops/taking charges at new school; coach who cares about her health should tell her to stop.

Baylor WBB coaches are hard at work on the portal.

I won't disagree but, if Ebo is a starter and Warren played that many minutes a game (27), wouldn't it make sense to clear some underclassmen on your team that may not see as much of the floor rather than experienced senior leadership in order to make room for transfers?

Now that I look at it again ,maybe it is for recuriting. It's set up in the practice gym. I think you might be right. We just might be hosting someone.

I know we're all anxious to know who we'll get from the portal. With BU it takes longer because there are basic criteria beyond the player's BB ability, with character, work ethic and relationship skills chief among them.
