50-60 is unrealistic and I think unnecessary. If she dropped 20-25, I think her defensive play would increase to being at least serviceable, and her already stellar offensive game would be a season for the ages.

Carter once said something to the effect that NC was the only coach she respected. I think Gary Blair was a bit afraid of her; she'd trash locker room after a loss. Owens doesn't surprise me; she made a few remarks during interviews during her time at TCU that made you think her time in Waco wasn't to her liking.

Crooks was a Bottom 10 defender in the B12 this past season.
There are zero D schemes where her shortcomings can be effectively hidden.
She offers almost zero shotblocking.
She isn't a screener.
She is an old school deep post whose presence basically kills all dribble drive.

Not sure anyone could find a worse fit for current schemes.

Tennessee continues to have entries announced into the portal. 2 of the 4freshman class that was top 5 ranked have announced they are leaving.

Bonnie Deas Wouldn't be a good fit at Baylor? We could use a few hard nosed scorers. Aussies tend to have good fundamentals and a high BB IQ…it seems anyway. I see Brow in that light. Maybe the Aussie connection could get us a look

If NC even thinks of considering Crooks with no intention to her losing weight, it's a complete no.

Why would we get an absolute cone on defense? She offers nothing. Her defense is SO BAD that it erases her entire offense and that's saying something.

Jordan Jones had foot surgery last October and redshirted.

She did lose some weight between seasons; think her top weight was 250, she's at 220.

If talking about Crooks, she is every ounce of 270+ pounds.
My guess (20 feet away observation) would be 290 pounds.
She would need to cut off a leg and an arm to be 220.

I'm surprised she stayed this long.

Nicki likes her bigs to be able to run the floor and in some cases play away from the basket so Crooks would not be a good fit.

I don't think Campbell would take her.

Amari would make player #7 from the remaining OSU roster entering the transfer portal - 3rd significant contributor transferring. Of the top 6 leading points/game, 2 were seniors, 3 are transferring - Whiting, Akot & Wooten. each of the top sic averaged between almost 10 ppg to 13.6 ppg - a lot of people scoring around 10 + ppg that will be gone.

Not sure what is causing the high exodus there - I think they brought in a lot of transfers last year so it may just be the nature of playing time & money without any real affection one way or the other for the shcool.
