It is a short turnaround for a team to play a difficult away game on Saturday, then play another on Tuesday. It is, of course, not as stressful as the three times this season that the men have had a Saturday/Monday schedule, but make no mistake, this was a game that really tested the conditioning of the Lady Bear players. Defenses are half a step slower, passes are often just a bit late, loose balls and rebounds normally obtained are lost to opponents, and shots are a little flatter because of tired legs. It is why tournaments are so hard to win, among other reasons.
Tech is going to be heard from up ahead. Lubbock is a tough place to play, as we know from past experience.
To pull away as the Lady Bears were able to do was actually quite a feat, and is a tribute to the conditioning of this team.
