In the worst-hit Pacific Palisades area, there were 63 faults in the two-to-three hours before it ignited, with 18 coming in the hour before it started Tuesday.
The Eaton Fire, near Altadena, saw 317 grid faults in the hours before ignition, Marshall said, and the Hurst Fire saw around 230 faults. On a typical day, he said the company registers very few.
Although investigators have yet to determine the cause of the fires, the grid faults raise the possibility that sparks from the faults ignited dried out vegetation, with high winds then carrying embers across the region.

Intelligent preventative actions can prevent many wildfire from starting in the first place (clearing brush, controlled burns, etc). But the Green Nazis cannot tolerate anything like that because they view humanity as a scourge, parasites destroying Gaia, their pagan god. They are such idiots that they cannot see socialism as the parasitical ideology that it is or the history of socialists destroying nature far more than capitalists. The Soviets, East European commies, China, etc have a horrible environmental record historically & now.
In China air pollution is so bad that people must wear masks just to breathe normally. And I doubt that the people in Chinese megacities are healthy.
Same is true for modern green Nazis in Western Europe. For example, windmills use far more carbon in their manufacture, transportation, installation, use, & disposal than they supposedly save. Plus they are a blight on the landscape & destroy large numbers of wildlife. The batteries for the EVs they obsess about have many drawbacks too, environmental & otherwise.
