Yes, but not for the reasons you presume.
It is not economical to transport a bulky bales of pot in specialized speedboats over a 3000mi route that runs past places that also grow pot to smuggle into a place that also grows pot. but that is not terribly a terribly material consideration. We are blowing up Venezuelan drug smuggling logistics in order to destabilize Venezuelan drug cartels who are part of the ruling Venezuelan political regime. You destabilize the cartels, you also destabilize the ruling political coalition. Final destination of the drugs really doesn't matter. Every shipment destroyed starves drug cartels of cash.
Once, I would like this group to actually have the outcome match the reason we said we were doing it, not some other side reason later on to justify the action.

There you go again with blinkered analysis. Yes, the immediate justification for blowing up cartel boats full of drugs is to prevent those drugs from finding their way to the USA. And it will do exactly that. That in no way means it will not also starve Venezuelan cartels of cash flow. it will That in no way means starving cartels of cash will not also destabilize drug cartels which are the backbone of the Venezuelan regime, which does need to be replaced (for a laundry list of reasons) in favor of the opposition party widely believed by the international community to have actually won the last election (and whose leader also won the Nobel Peace Prize).
Best of all, attacking drug cartels and seizing tankers of embargoed oil will place enormous stress on the Venezuelan regime WITHOUT committing an act of war against Venezuela, which it appears is exactly what you advocate we should do. Thank God Trump is POTUS and not you!
