BYU has more CFP Top 25 wins (2) than the four teams ahead of them -- Indiana, Tennessee, Penn State, Texas -- combined (1).

Agree with @GregMcElroy on BYU. Cougars should be getting way more credit for the SMU win and the K-State blowout. Those are better wins than Texas or Penn State has.

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again:
— Max Olson (@max_olson) November 6, 2024
Indiana has defeated its opponents by a margin of 296 points!
Dominant week after week with a fully rebuilt team. They should be 6th tonight, not 8th.
Committee hated BYU's schedule in 2020 and gave them no credit for blowing teams out.
— Greg Welch (@ArtDirectorBYU) November 6, 2024
Indiana is blowing out teams on a 100+ SOS and everyone is in reverent awe. https://t.co/wjNtO1tCGS
I asked Warde Manuel what the reason was for the massive disparity between BYU and Miami in the first CFP Rankings, when Miami has fewer ranked wins and has played closer games.
— Shehan Jeyarajah (@ShehanJeyarajah) November 6, 2024
He cited the eye test and Miami's "explosive offense."

They've beaten no one with a pulse… they play at Ohio St in a few weeks and will get destroyed.
The clear brand bias of CFP committee is striking...If you want to rank off eye test that is fine, but have a set and watch @IndianaFootball without bias...If you want to rank off resume then have a set and rank @BYUfootball higher than those that don't touch their ranked wins
— Joel Klatt (@joelklatt) November 6, 2024
Everybody is saying Indiana needs more respect. What about BYU, who has two good wins to Indiana’s zero.

There’s no world that Indiana should be above BYU. pic.twitter.com/kqU4exRsSg
I think they've basically said as much.Big12Fan2024 said:
B1G & SEC will eventually get rid of the automatic conference qualifiers and it will be 5 SEC, 5 B1G and then a couple of randos to make it look like everyone has an opportunity.
Makes me no difference who represents the B16 in the CFP. I'll be pulling for them. Any success will boost our conference across the country.BigGameBaylorBear said:
We need ISU to beat BYU in the Big12 championship. Assuming BYU stays undefeated along the way

I say that because I want 2 teams in the playoff. Right we only have 1
The "eye test" is looking at a piece of paper and seeing what the letters spell.boognish_bear said:I asked Warde Manuel what the reason was for the massive disparity between BYU and Miami in the first CFP Rankings, when Miami has fewer ranked wins and has played closer games.

B12 is only getting 1 in regardless. Look at how they have the teams after the top 12 ranked. They have Bama in at 12. If they lose Saturday LSU will replace them. There's no path for the B12 to 2 in unless ND loses again and Indiana falters

Committee using the 'game control ' metric to put Indiana over BYU ...we remember that from 2014.
Next is the Time Zone metric.

Penn St and Indiana are going to get in without a single quality win
The only thing wrong with the BCS is it was limited to 2 teams & wasn’t a 4-team or 12-team playoff https://t.co/3vgsC00rQy
