Honestly would just love to see ACC, BIG12, and MWC take care of business in the playoff. Would love to squash this conference superiority narrative.

Don't forget SEC/B1G have both already been asking for 4 guaranteed playoff spots in the future. If they already had their wish, Alabama would have been in and SMU out.

If Boise, SMU, and ASU get boat raced the cries for exclusion will grow even louder. Hopefully that doesn't happen.

Well if that’s the case, they would beat Alabama 24-3. https://t.co/SOOf2J5MGw

Dillingham said the QB turned and lowered at the last second, making it a "bang bang" call. He said Simmons is a great kid who tried to do the right thing with his head up.

Sometimes it's best to accept what you are and make the best of your existing situation. We know from case after case that the grass is only sometimes greener on the other side, and the constant pursuit of greener grass is exhausting.
Does the Final Four have only the best 64 teams? Every Conf Champ is among "the best"? What makes the tourney fun is that there are small schools, cinderellas, blue-bloods, etc... Bama has 3 losses and lost to Vanderbilt. Sort of hard to defend.BearBall said:
Not reading thru 17 pages but for ALABAMA to not get in the playoffs is a crime and further reason the SEC and Big10 need to form their own playoff system and invite a few scrubs every year (Big 12 champ and ACC champ). We do not have the 12 best teams in the playoffs.

We haven't even had one 12-team Playoff yet, and CFP Executive Director Rich Clark says they're already discussing 14 teams for 2026 (among several options).

Here's what a 14-team CFP with bids for the top 5 champs and byes for the top 2 champs would look like this year. pic.twitter.com/6APqUunSRj

No. If they want that then they need to form their own division of football, play only each other, and then not cry when every other sport also locks them out. They can create their own mega division for every sport and can't cry when they get tired of their teams all ending up 6-6.
They lost to Vanderbilt. They lost all rights to ***** right there.bear2be2 said:Boom. Head shot.cowboycwr said:BearBall said:

If you want an SEC invitational, grow some balls and create one at the expense of every other sport you compete in.
And if you want to make the existing playoff, don't lose three games. It's really that simple.
No SEC team will ever be left out with a 10-2 regular-season record. And with conference expansion watering down schedules, very few SEC teams will ever be deserving of inclusion at 9-3.
Current chance to win the national title for each of the 12 CFP teams 📊🏆

Pat McAfee added SMU “better show up today” because they have no rank wins either.
Meanwhile, Texas is also without a ranked win and wasn’t brought up this way. Weird🤔
With three victories last night from Ole Miss, Alabama and South Carolina, the SEC improved to 11,674-0 in hypothetical matchups.

If you want to have a Cinderella someday, you are going to have a lot of IU vs ND games before you get one. Since Villanova in the Final 4 won it all, how many others have even reached the final 4? Maybe one every 5 years?
I don't get all the angst.

The angst in that particular tweet was that ESPN used the Arizona logo for Arizona State.
Every time one of the have-nots in CFB grab one tiny morsel of the sports biggest spoils, the establishment loses its shit and insists they're unworthy and must be beaten back down to serf status so the lords can continue gorging at the feast of plenty. It's exhausting. https://t.co/6elUggvR6W

As much a bunch a BS as a 3 loss team with a loss to Vanderbilt being in there.
