WACO, Texas – Dave Aranda and the Baylor Bears (3-2, 1-1) are set to face the Kansas State Wildcats (2-3, 0-1) for a Big 12 matchup. Kickoff is slated for 11 a.m. CT on Saturday, Oct. 4, at McLane Stadium in Waco, Texas. The game will be streamed on ESPN+.

Terrible defense on opening drive. Terrible on final drive. Pretty good in between. 2 turnovers took points off the board.

It's so hard to watch our team tread water next to a sinking Titanic while other teams in the big 12 have competent coaches and show signs of significant improvement year over a year. UH and Cincinnati are two examples. Dave should've been let go in 2023. I understand that there were were financial issues in actually making that a reality, but the right thing to do was to let him go after that Air Force loss. We've just been kicking the can down the road ever since then.

Not putting money on it, but odds are Sawyer leads the team to victory. He's a leader and the best QB we've had in a decade. Still this K state team is really weak.

anyone else feel like the players don't improve once they get here from high school or other programs? mental acumen, routes, strength, speed, skill...development just a whiff for this coaching staff.

Very good point but the reality of a $15 million buyout that they allowed in his 2022 contract must weigh pretty heavy. At this point it's like selling a lemon as a used car and hope one of the UCLA's out there is a sucker.

No kidding. The apps post Heisman absolutely skyrocketed. Same thing after the natty in mbb. Students want to be where cool, fun stuff is happening. There is little cooler or more fun than athletics success for a university

Bro…enrollment is nearly double what it was in the early 2000s. Thats Largely due to the brand CAB and RGIII built. It is not inconceivable to think enrollment could drop from 20000 total to under 17k in the next couple of years led largely by a few years of reduced freshman class applicants. Growth was created by winning football. That undeniably true.

They really are not a fun team to watch. Anytime it looks like they're about to catch a little momentum some self-inflicted wound is gonna screw it all up. They just seem to be a very mid team.
