Problem is Reese wants to play wing. I'm sure we were already after her, but I don't see it. If we can't get Edwards or Blackwell, we must temper expectations for sure.

i think we can sell her the opportunities Lyss had to get to play a mix of both. We want positionless basketball here and CNC will put the athletes in positions to thrive. I think it can expand and highlight Angel's game a lot but we have to have the opportunity to start that conversation.

I assume it because in several interviews she stresses that she is a "big guard" .

I am not sure what schools she is looking at. There have been rumors about LSU but I do not see Kim's style of play working for her.

If you get Blackwell, then you are done. Would be three terrific transfer portal additions. Perhaps that will quiet those who think that CNC doesn't know what she is doing.

I may be a little unfamiliar with the colloquial use of post, but she still is going to play close to basket wherever she ends up. I guess she could face up and attack from the perimeter more? The lone option to play the 3 seems like SC with one of Staley's zero-space lineups. But that seems like underutilizing talent to me.

I get the tweet though--since she's a great big her perimeter skills aren't discussed as much. I assume she's leaving Maryland because the team hasn't been good enough.

Maryland [much like Oregon & Oregon State] is a well known "tell recruits whatever they want to hear about usage on O, we will simply play them however we want after they arrive" BSer. Schools that conveyor-belt recruits in & out tend to have the same issues: O usage, pace of play, distribution of shots, etc. "We plan to open up the offense this year" is the standard starting point of the BS.

Players no longer have to stay or sit out when the lie becomes apparent. Players understand that they need a face-up game to succeed professionally. Baylor's new staff has a HUGE selling point for top players… "look how we used Smith & Egbo". Players don't normally freak out about "guarding up" a position. They do get pissed when coaches stick them in the paint on every O possession. The developed skill sets don't translate. Look at where players like Cunane & Hillmon got drafted in comparison to Smith & Egbo. Film on pro-style usage matters.

Angel says she is leaving because she was playing inside primarily and she didn't want to do that
