-2 didn't even make the top 90 today!

If scoring is as good tomorrow Jimmy will need 67/68 minimum just to make the cut

Jimmy tees off at 1:17 today. Cut line is currently sitting at -5 and will probably continue to go lower.

-3 thru 8 holes; sitting right on the cut line at -5

He is now -6. But can't seem to hit fairway on par 5s.

It would sure help to birdie reachable par 5s.

Finished 2nd round with -3(69) to post -5 for 2 days. Looks like he's going to miss the cut by 1
He bogeyed 2 of his last 3 holes, missing 10 ft & 7 ft par putts on those holes.

PGA Championship week, the Ocean Course at Kiawah Island
I really like this course and moving this major to May, expecting a great tourney
They have added a ton of yardage to the course - it's playing over 7800 yds

This course is going to be a real distance test. I'm hearing guys are having to hit a lots of hybrids and 5 irons on the back nine in their practice rounds

JW had a super hot start going birdie birdie and briefly was alone in first place in the very early going. Just bogeyed his 3rd hole. Now at -1.

Welp....he's starting to fishtail now. He's +1 at the turn.

Another birdie, back to Even. Good drive on #12 so maybe another birdie chance. The closing stretch he has left is really tough & into the wind.

Bogeys on 13 & 15 push Jimmy to +2

Birdie on 16, back to +1 (T27th)

Finished +1. Not bad on this course.

Yep....only 4 strokes back of the current leaders at -3. Going to be a congested leaderboard I bet.

He was T57th when the PM group was getting started....now with the field moving backwards he's been able to sit on his coach and move up to T50th.

After the dust settled JW is tied for 41st. In decent position for making the cut. But... he is in the afternoon group tomorrow and the wind is supposed to pick up more in the afternoon.

Overnight leader Corey Connors is three over on his round so far. Brendan Grace currently holds the lead at -4....so Jimmy is five back at the moment.

Cut line currently sitting at +2.

The player list for those not making the cut is going to be impressive. Finished with their second round and at plus 5 or worse , with projected cut at plus 3 (think it will settle at plus 4):

Yep.... he is starting on the tougher side and just holding strong. He's still +1 for the tournament.... but has now moved up to T33 since so many are falling back. If he can survive 17 and 18 before making the turn he'll be sitting pretty.

So close to birdie on 16. Dang.

Just made the turn, playing the front 9 now. He's +3 but in some trouble on hole #1; cut is at +4

Conditions must be getting tough. Cut line getting close to +5.

But scrambling his butt off. Another par save, this one by draining a 26 footer. Played 12 holes with only 17 putts, which includes a three-put. I think that is 11 one putts.

Given the conditions and toughness of the course Jimmy is having a really solid round. He's had all pars on his back nine so far.

He's at +3 for the tourney and T46. Cut line sitting at +5.

Koepka has had five drives of 330 or longer. Hit one 374 yards. Some of these guys are just beasts.

So I thought I would check on Dechambeau. 6 drives of 330+, longest at 379.

Koepka is like a bulldog once he gets himself in position to win a major. Hard to see him letting this chance get away.

With all their beef I'd love to see a Koepka/Bryson pairing tomorrow or Sunday.

Plus, his pairing really did not help him today. Tough to play well when your partners are sucking. Heading to 18 Jimmy is 8 strokes better than Dufner and 11 strokes better than Daly on the day. That has to be a pretty rare experience for a PGA pro.

He actually bumped up one more spot to T39 when it was all over today. Great showing by Jimmy so far.
