Oh, please. You still lose the argument by referring to Hitler even if you don't use the name "Hitler."

Seems to me you failed History more than once if you imagine that is in anyway a valid comparison.

Did anyone else notice that the indictment seems a bit ... light ... in specifying how Trump's opinion is now criminal?

It appears this case comes down to convincing a jury that Trump deliberately lied, when there is abundant evidence that whether he was correct or not, Trump believed the election had been stolen.

Once you start criminalizing opinion, you have jumped off the cliff.

Our corrupt-to-the-core federal government is charging someone for holding a political rally in the public square. And to keep our President's problems from leading the 6 o'clock news.

To a certain segment of the American population its always post WWI Germany.

When the USA has lost a world war that led to 1.8 million military deaths, 2.3 million wounded, and 400,000+ civilian deaths...plus an economy in ruins, and a completely new and incompetent political system....then we can talk about the "threat of a potential dictator like in Germany"

Oh and lets not forget the hyperinflation...[Hyperinflation is largely a twentieth-century phenomenon. The most widely studied hyperinflation occurred in Germany after World War I. The ratio of the German price index in November 1923 to the price index in August 1922 -just fifteen months earlier- was 1.02 x 10 to the 10th. This huge number amounts to a monthly inflation rate of 322 percent. On average, prices quadrupled each month during the sixteen months of hyperinflation.]

Nazis blamed all their woes on a privileged race, claimed race allowed some to cross sovereign borders at will, practiced eugenics(abortion), enacted strict gun control, had a violent wing of their party that attacked political opponents at their rallies and practiced censoring their political opponents through fake trials and outright imprisonment.
Our vibrations were getting nasty. But why? I was puzzled, frustrated... Had we deteriorated to the level of dumb beasts?

Not sure if anyone has seen Trump's current defense attorney, Alina Habba, but my God she is hot!! I hope Trump can stay strong and doesn't try to "grab her by the ***sy"!
She doesn't have the best professional reputation according to several articles. Sounds like typical Trump, will listen to the hottie that doesn't know what she is doing. Maybe that is how he ended up indicted...
Given what is known about the man bringing these charges, that is laughably ironic.
Well, those comments were from Trump's team of lawyers. But, I am sure she is stellar and the whole thing is "fake news" its a well oiled machine. He really gets some good advice, what indictment are we on 3 or 4.

So if you flood the news with enough accusations, that makes them true because Trump ?

Look, we should all be able to agree the Donald Trump is arrogant, can't hold his tongue and sometimes is his worst enemy, but it's obvious to everyone but the malicious haters that these charges are politically driven and smell worse than produce and dairy left in a dumpster for a month.

I don't need to be a hater, since the 2020 election, listening to his hand picked dream team of advisors, he has been indicted going on 4 times. He does more than enough on his own!

As long as Trump is NO WHERE near an elected office I could care less about him.

So as long as he's accused, in your eyes he's guilty.

Better check in with BIden, he may nominate you for the next SCOTUS opening.

He wouldn't like my definition of "women". So, sorry. Can't help you there.

We don't know if he is guilty, which is the point of the trial.

You seem to want him to give him a pass, because he is Donald??? Even though there is enough for a Grand Jury to order a trial. Donald is not above the process. If he is found innocent, so be it. Mike Pence is Donald's biggest problem, not those like me that want to see the process followed...

If you think Mike Pence stands for anything but the advancement of Mike Pence's career, you are slower than Joe Biden after 7 PM.

As for Trump, blatantly absurd standards are being used here. Quick, name me the last four major political candidates who did the same thing Trump did (and yes there are others) and tell me what they were charged with.

I'm not voting for Trump, but this is a DNC lynching and we all know it. Excusing it because it's Trump just means your moral compass got lost in 2016.

Because you think Pence is about Pence, his testimony is set aside? Who is playing politics?

He was there, he said he was coerced under oath to throw an election if you think that doesn't require following through the legal system you need to look at your own moral compass.

This is not about who you are voting for. It is about actions taken to throw an election. Unfortunately for Donald he instills such loyalty his whole staff is testifying!

Trump is going for that Arizona loser, Kari Lake. She was some TV anchor prior which means Trump will be pushing her for his administration. She looks good on TV. I'll give her that.

IMO this is an intensional effort to disable or kill Trump.

He is an old, out of shape, fat guy and the stress of all these garbage charges simply has to be taking a toll.

Would not be surprised if he has a stroke or heart attack.

Trump is like the frickin' Energizer Bunny. I think he thrives on the attacks and the drama.

In contrast to the cadaver currently in the Oval Office, who is a broken hip away from stepping down for "health reasons".

Then Trump has nothing to worry about, and Smith's reliance on subpoenaed documents and testimony of the unindicted co-conspirators, Pence, and the republican staff members that are witnesses will come to naught if that's all there is to it. Should be easy to win. Baseless charges are easy to get dismissed. Just look at all of the baseless politically driven claims Trump made that were thrown out of court.
