How unfair for these poor middle school girls to deal with this.
My kid was certainly not exceptional as a Jr. High shot putter,
but he did win district in the 8th graded at his private school.
He threw the larger shot over 8 ft farther the district champ girl threw
their smaller shot. He liked to toy around with the smaller shot in
practice, and would routinely throw it about 15 to 20 ft farther than
the best in district girl throw.
Even as early as 8th grade, there is an immense difference in boys and girls physically.
The gap in ability gets much wider by the time they are 12th graders.
