Honestly Elon is out of line. A request like that should come from the agencies' leadership.

Elon is a consultant working directly for the president. Presumably, Trump approves of it all and this is with his blessing. The email and the expectation that each employment be able to demonstrate productivity on a weekly basis are not unusual or unreasonable. Considering the pay scale and benefits of federal workers and excessive amount of waste & abuse, this is welcome.


Yes the purpose of the request is welcome. Musk has Trump appointed allies leading each agency. The request should go through them. Let them lead the effort internally and report to Musk and Trump. Just how I believe it should work. Consultant makes recs, and leaders implement and communicate with staff. Better for leadership and the employees.
