Texas 24 at Iowa State 17

This has been a horrible year for the Cyclones as the gambling scandal derailed things early and the team continues to fall apart. The loss of talent and rolling out a true freshman at QB has caused a ton of growing pains offensively but the defense continues to fight. They play really well in this one as it is close throughout but ultimately Texas makes enough plays on the road to survive a major scare in Ames.

Kansas State 47 at Kansas 33

The Wildcats have won 14 games in a row in this Sunflower Showdown and that will continue. This will be a fun game early but ultimately the Kansas defense continues to hemorrhage points. Will Howard throws for 300 yards while the Wildcats offense rushes for 225 yards as they put on a show in this one. Jalon Daniels and company score but a few turnovers and a couple three and outs create separation in this one.

Oklahoma 37 at BYU 35

Offensive explosion in Provo between thew two team. The Cougars come to play against the Sooners as they are able to find a consistent rushing attack with Aidan Robbins while Kedon Slovis keeps the offense moving down the field. This is Slovis’ best performance of the season as he throws for 350 yards and four touchdowns. Unfortunately for BYU, the secondary continues to have major issues. Dillon Gabriel slices and dices the secondary to a tune of 400 yards and four touchdowns. BYU takes a 35-30 lead with six minutes left but they can’t stop Gabriel from leading the Sooners down the field. He finds Austin Stogner in the corner of the end zone with just 45 seconds left as they steal the road win.

Baylor 29 at TCU 32

This rivalry continues to be close but also continues to be one-sided over the past 8 years as the Horned Frogs have one seven of the last eight. This one will make it eight of the last nine but it is one heck of a game. TCU builds a 23-13 lead at half behind two Chandler Morris touchdown passes as he has a strong opening half. The 3rd quarter things change though as Dom Richardson and Richard Reese both score touchdowns as the Bears tie the game at 26-26 going into the fourth quarter. Both defense play well in the quarter as both teams are held to field goals heading into the final five minutes of the game. Baylor goes for it on 4th and 1 at the 50 yard line with three minutes remaining but Dom Richardson is stopped by Johnny Hodges. Chandler Morris finds JP Richardson and JoJo Earle on back to back plays as the Frogs get inside the 25-yard line with just one minute remaining before getting stopped. Griffin Kell buries the field goal. Blake Shapen hits Monaray Baldwin and Ketron Jackson on explosive plays to get the Bears to midfield with 30 seconds left but Shapen is sacked on the next play and then the Hail Mary fails as the Horned Frogs get a huge win.

Oklahoma State 30 at Houston 20

The Cougars are in free fall at this point in the season and the Pokes take advantage. Ollie Gordon runs for 190 yards and three touchdowns to lead the offense. Defensively OSU forces four turnovers and holds Houston under 300 yards of total offense. This win all but solidifies another strong season for Mike Gundy and company.

UCF 27 at Texas Tech 37

Both of these teams have a chance to climb up the standings in this matchup while also staying in the running to make the Big 12 Championship Game which makes it extremely important. The Red Raiders are up to the task as the defense totals five sacks and forces two turnovers while the offense totals 450 yards of offense. Tyler Shough puts together another strong game as he throws for 300 yards and three touchdowns. UCF moves the football but their depth is starting to show a little wear and tear late in the season as they struggle to run the ball and stop the run.

Cincinnati 14 at West Virginia 17

Ugly game with a whole lot of defense and very little explosiveness on the offensive side. Both defensive lines hold up well while both passing attacks are erratic as Emory Jones and Garrett Greene struggle mightily. There are also seven turnovers between the two teams. Greene leads a late drive down the field to set up a late field goal which is made by Danny King. The Mountaineers are bowl eligible.

Nah. TCU will NOT do as well as most think. And although they have played the Bears well over that last few years ... these Bears remember losing to AF in Ft. Worth. They will not lose to the Frogs this time around. They will win. Bank on it.
