Haven't heard of it. Where is it?
Shout out to Taco 7 at Campbell/Long Point. The breakfast sandwich is unreal - soft warm bun, fried egg, sausage patty, grilled onions and japs, aioli sauce and I put the habanero sauce on it. Unreal.

Definitely worth going. The bread starter is great. We love the salad that is kinda like a wedge. Mussels, when they have them are top notch. Do great Asian inspired flavors. Whatever the fish is, usually excellent.

Have not been. Read good things.
Wife and I did Baso a few months ago and loved it. Highlights were the bread service, venison tartar, pork chop, tuna. Dont know a ton about spanish wine so went cocktails and were pleased.
Main recommendation is that bc its live fire cooking, be careful where you sit. We went when it was still hot outside and were very thankful we didn't sit at the bar or chefs counter as it was easily 20 degrees warmer over there vs the back of dining room.

Been twice. Both times great. Nice wine list and somm team. The chicken fried redfish and fires were great. All the raw bar was excellent. Everything we all had was really spot on. Can't go wrong there really.

We went to Milton's back in March and had a great meal. Highly recommend. Went to Winnie's last Monday for their $5 burger special. Dang good burger for that price point.

Work function. 10-12 people. We are staying in the Greenway Plaza area, but don't mind driving a little but. Where to go? I love Litle's. Any thing jump out?

Eunice is Greenway is always great.
Agree on Eunice. If the people in your party are not from TX, El Tiempo is always a hit ( even if they are from TX). Great fajitas and margs. Very close to Greenway Plaza.

IMO, Little Pappasito's is better and just down the road.
Interesting. Margaritas matter to me and El Tiempo's are way better. Imo Pappasitos are like Six Flags marg's.

Hmmm, haven't had one at either recently to give an opinion. Just every time I leave El Tiempo I feel like some part of the meal let me down. And the Little Pappasito's on Kirby is not like other locations. They have specials and unique menu items.

Went about a month ago
entrees very good but typical for an upscale steak and seafood restaurant
sides and salads were better than most upscale restaurants

Finally ate at a new spot. Perseid in the Saint Augustine Hotel in Montrose, right by the Menil
We had a really good meal. French bistro type menu, from the Bludorn team. Really pretty little dining room. In a separate part of the hotel they also have The Lounge. We just walked through it, but it has a really cool vibe and serves drinks and small plates.
Looks like a nice property for visitors, close to tons of stuff.
We plan to go back.

Anyone been to Moon Rabbit in the Heights? Went earlier this week, Vietnamese food with a bit of elevated offerings and good cocktails plus beer and wine.

It was a revelation. Absolutely incredible. Fix price only $75 a person. The best dining deal I have ever had for the price.

Paulie's and Camerata wine bar are closing at end of the year. If something happens to Empire Cafe I might go postal.
The past 12 months 4 very walkable and favorite restaurants have closed - Vibrant, Riel, Ostia and now Paulie's. And Camerata is a great wine spot.

I have made reservations for Murray's Pizza and Wine for next weekend and am pretty excited. Looks like Rosie Cannonball.
