TCU and SMU both making the College Football Playoff before Texas A&M is honestly the wildest timeline.

Seriously, all six of these guys look like they're about to cry because Alabama didn't make it. This is embarrassing for ESPN and for college football.

A&M has not won a conference championship since 93, back in the SWC I believe.
Hadn’t seen this posted yet. The top half of the bracket no matter who it is, will go to the Cotton Bowl and bottom half to the Orange. pic.twitter.com/rF9f9o9hRm

Alabama's AD says they'll have to evaluate how they schedule after missing out on the College Football Playoff 👀

If Clemson had not made a 56-yd FG as time expired, there is a very good chance that the only reason 9-3 Bama would be in over 10-2 Miami is that they had a tougher schedule. Learning the wrong lesson and lightening their schedule could very well keep them out in the future.

There will be at least one college football game every day from Dec. 26 to Jan. 4, save for Sunday the 29th.

29 games in all.
They could have beat Vanderbilt... Just saying.boognish_bear said:

Non-conference SOS:

SMU #20
Alabama #29
Don’t let sore losers gaslight you into believing they were kept out because they scheduled tough games. They got rocked by Diego Pavia and Jackson Arnold.

Oh look: now Saban is advocating let's just break off the top 30 programs and have them play each other.
Is this fake news??? he didn’t actually really say that …. @AlabamaFTBL @SMUFB https://t.co/APxNx1xXJZ

I'm not gonna lose any sleep if Bama gets left out, but they have definitely played a much tougher schedule than Indiana.
They've beaten 3 ranked teams, including Georgia.
Meanwhile, Indiana had one big test this season, and totally bombed it (OSU).
Schedules matter. But they really matter when you play an FCS-caliber one, and then lay a goose egg when you finally match up against a solid team.
That should not be rewarded.

Saban complaining about scheduling tough opponents outside of conference when Alabam's three losses were in-conference, is rich.

How many of Bama's wins are against teams ranked now? They beat Georgia, a legit playoff team, & Mizzou, a better team than most, and a bunch of mediocrities.
True, Indiana's schedule isn't great but that's true of most teams in most conferences, especially the P2. And it is better than the FCS. That's an exaggeration. At least Indiana won all games against B10 mediocrities. Bama lost a couple of games against SEC mediocrities (OU & Vandy are both 6-6).

How many of those teams are currently ranked?
The answer is still 3.
Georgia
South Carolina
Missouri
The problem with many on this board is that they are letting their personal bias and dislike of Bama cloud their judgment.
If you want to say that Bama's loss to OU was a disqualifier, that's one thing.
But to hype up an Indiana team that beat up on Charlotte, FIU, and Western Illinois, is a bit much.
I don't care how far in advance you have to schedule the games, but no one on here believes that any of those teams will become national powerhouses anytime soon.
We complain about teams playing soft schedules...but why wouldn't they, if many folks can be fooled simply by the record against that weak schedule?
Exactly. You wanted the money. Take your L's.FLBear5630 said:
You play who is on your schedule. The B10 and SEC have created this mess with the super conferences. SEC greed is what is creating this situation, this time it bit Bama. I guess they expect the top 6 from the SEC getting in, than it will be #7... They never stop *****ing.
