Some only think they understand recruiting. You can NOT just sit and wait until all come out. The majority will be taken and you will be left to live or die by the final few. And, very possibly wind up with a short bench like this year. Get a couple as they start coming out, get a couple later.
Not every player need be a star, but every player has to be given a playing time/role projection and buy into that projection. Unhappiness is contagious.
Correct me if Im wrong Adriacus, but weren't you one of the ones that stated NC inherited a broken roster, and that this wasn't good? Now it's a good thing because having too many players will cause a ton of frustration?
If so, this speaks volumes, as when Kim would only recruit 1-2 players a year, posters thought the sky was falling and that she was losing her touch, when in actuality, its just never good to stack up on multiple recruits (at least in Women's Basketball), with an example being the Fab 5 that Mulkey recruited.
Informed conjecture. Not mere speculation.Lynnp550 said:
All this supposition is just your own wishful thinking, right? I mean, nobody on here thinks his or her input is worth anything to those in charge, right?

The roster was problematic. Rosters need to be at least 12 players [and preferably 14 if containing developmental players].
But every player needs to buy into their role: star, starter, rotation piece, next player up, developing, etc.
You are acting as though the two concepts are in opposition…..not true.
And you are clearly a "Kim" fan…….so not expecting much fair commentary on new staff. FYI, the Every Day of the Season #1 team [USC-East] has quality players stacked at every position.

It's a slow day in the thinking department for me. Could someone please clarify for me: is this young lady someone that the coaching staff has expressed an interest in, or is this just we fans speculating that she is someone we "should" go after?

or are you denying that every part of the public has almost a year's worth of public statements, player substitutions, substitution patterns, half court offensive actions/design, game play, etc. upon which to inform conjecture?

Maybe annoying to some, but most of the time very informative. If you listen.Baylorkid said:Lynnp550 said:"Informed conjecture" is an oxymoron, dearie. Partial or incomplete "information" is part of the textbook definition of the word conjecture. Maybe you should learn the definition of oxymoron [contradictory or incongruous].Lynnp550 said:"Informed conjecture" is an oxymoron, dearie. I hate to quote myself but.....Dr. J said:
Is this the part of the forum where we excitedly sniff at every name that enters the portal? I would be more patient and wait as the tourney unfolds. There will be more quality names that enter. Oregon is usually good for 2-3 transfers out every year and they just lost.
Agreed. He's an a-hole and always has been.Dr. J said:I hate to quote myself but.....Dr. J said:

This is where it begins for Kelly Graves....calling out players publicly instead of privately. Never liked him as a coach and his real talent laid in his assistant, Mark Campbell, who is now the HC at Sac State.

Blackwell averaged a double-double and led the @SEC in rebounding last season. She should have 2 years of eligibility remaining.
It would be nice to know why players want to transfer. You could be going after a great player that is a team disruptor. I guess the coaches have the grapevines to have a good idea.Brusinbear2001 said:SOURCE: #Mizzou's Aijha Blackwell plans to enter the Transfer Portal.

I trust CNC to make this kind of decision.
Mulkey has not had issues with relationships before. What I hear, it was allowed as long as it didn't interfere with the team.Brusinbear2001 said:
