Yup. I have a friend that claimed at least 3 or 4 times during Trumps first term that he was starting WW3.
I took screenshots and use them to prove him wrong from time to time. Like today when he claimed Trump will start WW3 over this Ukraine thing.
He at first will deny he said any such thing and then back track once I post the screenshot.

The NWS has been less than trustworthy for some time now. Maybe a good idea to replace the idiots with competent meteorologists.
Problem with relying on the Private sector is that they only do what is profitable. The NWS infrastructure provides the base for their forecasts. The State 511 systems work with NWS. The private sector works with the NWS. Marine forecasts. The list goes on. The private sector does not invest in that type of infrastructure.
