Mark Whalberg stars. Lots of action but not very deep.

This is a scary, but good read.

The Long Walk - Based on a Stephen King book - very inexpensive flick about boys from all 50 States. They go on a looooong walk, several hundred miles, no stops for #2, sleeping, etc, if you fall below 3 mph, then you get a warning, and a second and a third. Then the Army guys shoot you.

Read the short story. Bachman Books anthology, Running Man was in there too. He had some really good stories back in the 70's and 80's. The Stand is still one of my favorites. And the Shawshank Redemption was his too under Rita and the Shawshank Redemption.

Trap, an M Night Shayamlyn flick.

Don't bother.

It's been a while since he's had a good flick and this doesn't break that trend.

It's basically a venue for his daughter to sing and act. She's not very good

Watched "Hostiles" very good. Rough and probably very accurate. It was a slow, deliberate and thoughtful movie. Typical Christian Bale. Wes Studi is in as well and is great in every movie as he is in every movie (Last of the Mohicans he was outstanding).

Would recommend it if you really want to think and are not upset with violence.

I do not really follow it, but per The Drinker Cavil - who is a huge The Witcher fan and took the role because of that despite being way too big a star - quit because S3 became nuts and the show shifted from his character - who is the titular character - to a couple of race- and sexuality-switched Girl Bosses.

Finishing binging "Kings and Conquerors" on Prime. Well done series about the days after King Alfred leaves the throne, Edward, etc. Normandy, Britany, Flanders and so on are in it too

I finished The Diplomat latest season ... I think maybe three but kind of slow so don't remember.

It's another good concept but ruined by having to pander to "modern audiences." The entire foreign office looks like a Community College catalog ... in season three we have the first soliloquy about how it was so hard for the little Asian station chief to fight the evil, white, patriarchy to get where she is ... despite the fact that every person in the show is a toke except the evil white people.

Keri Russell basically plays the same character she played in Felicity and The Amerikans ... emotionally insecure GIRLBOSS that does not know how to brush her hair ...

Saw the Bruce Springsteen movie ... pretty good. The relationship with his dead was a little dusty. Just felt random - I thought it would be about his early life and launching his career not just making one particular album, but that's on me.

We went to theater. It was not bad and it got the basic premise across. But they took some license with how they illustrated it. For example, Africa. They showed the French and Napolean shooting artillery at the Pyramids. Didn't really happen, but got across he conquered Egypt in one quick scene.

If you are a bit more big picture and like artistic license, it was worth seeing. If you are a literalist, like most of this Board, you will hate it because you won't be able to see past the inaccuracies and be pissed.

It was not a Ken Burns documentary...
